Yeah Silver is alive, I knew he would and poor River not knowing for so long and then collapsing but that is a good thing so he can at least rest... but Faith got away!!! He had better not hurt our boys anymore I hope they catch the whole stinking lot of them soon.. but I know there is more to come so onwards to find out. I agree with Marzipan now would be a perfect time for the police but then we want " The Master" too so hopefully all of the bastards are caught at once. Faith I hope he gets his own justice as he is as bad if not worse than the master as he succumbed and obviously is envious of Silver (Matthew's) strength. A big yeah for that too way to go and poor River not being able to do anything to stop what happened except when he had the seizure and there I can empathise as I too have epilepsy and grand mal seizures and know the torment my family goes through when I have them and there is nothing they can do until they stop. They are both very strong and I hope they come out of this well. They have too but such a gripping chapter and it made me cry lots.

Robyn I agree Faith deserves a world of hurt the bastard. Oh and lets not forget the mysterious Master he is the one that needs the ultimate punishment. What is it with twisted people like this. I hope they are not too late though. I don't want either of our boys to be hurt anymore than they are. Poor Silver but thank god he has kept his spirit up I just hope he awakens from his injuries with the same strength and good on River for trying and a homing beacon! Bravo for modern technology. I said to myself also that after this chapter I would go to bed as it is nearly 2am in the morning and then you whammy us with an ending like that. First off - God what a kiss to forget all around you and then wtf how did they find Silver and why oh why did they have to come back and then what the hell will they do to River? As I said sleep pfft!!

Clever Silver for hiding the painting as he must have done and now he is on a mission to break down River's barriers too me thinks. He is cheeky and I love that he is more open and that the Dr is so impressed but here is where the tables are going to be turned and River is going to be the one to open up and be honest not only to himself but also to Silver. They both knows what is there but have to trust in each other to allow it to develop. Again I agree with Andrew though River's professionalism is going to make it harder for him to accept that Silver is opening up to him more but one thing is for sure Silver is a survivor and no matter how he had to do it he is a fighter too and will fight for what he believes. Will River?

Brilliant chapter again Nephy. I love Julia she is so good and perseptive but wow Silver how amazing is that. Way to go River to help him this far. Will we see the last of Kevin? I hope so as he seems more trouble than he is worth and as a carer should know better than to not only torment River but to give alcohol to Silver like it was a test!!! Good on Silver though to show such strength of character to rein River in.

I have to agree with Robyn. River is the man way to go. Such a huge step forward for Silver and so hard and heart wrenching, I keep using that word, but it is. There is still a long way to go but you have revealed that Silver knows who he is but is not ready yet to take that leap of faith, which is fine, progress is progress but poor River this is taking a toll on him and I see more to come but can't wait to start on the next chapter Such beauty in your writing very well done

Poor Silver it must be so hard. River did the right thing in stopping the kiss, that must have been so hard for him after what happened to Nikki when he did the same thing, but I am so pleased that he stopped it and that Silver came back to himself or who he has been at the care house. I agree with Ricky though this is a tough story and I can see River is going to need therapy too after this

We all cheer for the doctor's decision but again this is not going to be easy for River. Silver may have set backs but so will River but I agree this is one way to help heal them both. Good analogy taking off layer upon layer of an onion, this is how we are seeing Silver come back but a few weeks won't work this is a long term recovery time. Nikki was there for at least 4 years, how long did they have Silver for? If he is only remembering a dog but not a name for the dog and not even his own. He may have been there when Nikki was that will be even harder to deal with and come to terms with. Onto the next chapter to see what else you have in store for us

That is one of the most heart wrenching chapters. Poor River and Nikki no one should have had to go through that at such a young age, correction any age, I so hope they caught the people but alas if this is what happened to Silver, which I feel is, then how do these people get away with it!! I am not religious but I do believe in God, I hate churches and their hypocrisies and this just clinches it. How dare they presume ignorance on a damaged soul that was not of his doing, suicide for Nikki was a release from his pain and anguish and I believe innocence is rewarded and that Nikki will be in peace not in more torment. I hope River can find the peace and release the guilt he feels so that he can have a peaceful and happy life one day because until he does his walls will stop him from being hurt again but they will also stop him from healing. To help Silver he needs to help himself

I have to agree with Robyn darn you Nephy!! I hate cliffhangers but wow what a chapter... am so onto the next and as Andrew asked I won't my maths was pretty good lol 10 years of his life closed off and finishing with back to when he was 14

Another brilliant chapter and way to go River in helping Silver over that little step. That was glorious reading of the interraction between Julia, Silver and River whilst painting the room I loved it and how Julia just plomps herself down and expects Silver to respond. Funny and delightful and a good way to end the chapter. Onto the next... sleep what is that???

All I can say is wow!! What an intense chapter. I agree with everyone it was so sad with the shower seen with River that Silver shut down like that and went into such a submissive mode that we can sort of sense what happened to him. Poor River he feels it too and it must hurt to use the command tone to get Silver to respond but see that dead look in his eye. Soon I hope Silver will believe that he can trust River, which I think he does to a degree already and Julia well such spark in her and yes I agree she doesn't sound 32 but then again who does at any age nowadays. It is not surprising that she can sense inner turmoil and I do hope she is wrong about impending danger but just like charlieocho said I have read Deadly Liaisons too and know you are very crafty in your writing and keep us on the edge of our seats. This was a very deep and in a way dark chapter in the fact that River finding the scars, which Silver must have known he would see, is showing a sort of trust and helping River to reach into what happened to Silver. With the picture of the cage it gives the impression that he must have been held captive and badly abused and it scares him that he might end up back there. Kevin needs to ease up because it becomes disrespectul of his colleague/friend to keep teasing about something and on their first day together as patient and carer. I love both characters and also Ronya and yes onto Chapter 4. Brilliant writing too Nephy it almost like watching it evolve and being there with them.

First off I must say Andrew Q Gordon I love your intro and that about sums it up. Bows and admiration to you Nephy this story is so addictive. I too love Julie already and was in awe with the way she interracted with Silver in the kitchen but I am saddened that such an obvious beautiful soul has been so cruelly abused and damaged that he doesn't feel safe to come out of his shell. Also yes River's reaction to him was classic and brilliantly done plus the shower seen and the quick glimpse River got of the real Silver. How will they proceed? I agree with Andrew too as a mother I just want to grab and smother him in cotton wool so he feels cherished and safe but that is for River to work out how to do. I see a long and interesting road ahead for these two but it is going to be enjoyable reading and as Nicky said no sleep for me tonight I so will not be able to stop reading and as Andrew said in Chapter One - ahh why didn't I catch this story sooner!! Have it now and won't stop till the end. I will also be a constant reviewer of each chapter as I have run out of my tick quotas for the day (so hate that!!)

Okay I am belated in reading this story. I have to agree though Julie is cute. It is a great opening to the series and am looking forward to reading the rest, did you have this on Lit? Sounds familiar but I always enjoy re reading good stories so no matter.... anyway.... the mystery of Silver and why everyone is so hyped re: River and yes I must agree cruel Mother to give him a name like that but what is his story and why is he so defensive? I know we will find out in due course but again great start and so now onto the next chapter

Poor Benny and I agree with you about Yuri's POV here. He seemed like a strong character so what must have eventuated, even though my imagination is running wild with scenarios, is devastating too cause such a lasting effect on Yuri. His own father!! Earlier when you mentioned Benny's parents and Yuri's mother were at the bonding ceremony but not his father, as Alpha does that mean he was away or that his mate did not tell him? For him to have his own father brutalize him in this way emotionally must have been a great shock and whatever injuries did occur to Benny must have been just as serious as Yuri's!! I hope nothing happened to Yuri's mother either. Plus what a revelation that Velaku put on Benny, suggesting that he is an Alpha. A dormant one at that too, so here is a theory if Yuri is his true mate and he really is an Alpha could that not in itself help Yuri pull himself back?? Just a thought but as normal you will give no clues away until we see the chapter. Looking forward to the next chapter and as always brilliant story line and intrigue.

God I feel sorry for Benny. Everyone around him has a mate they can look after and he can only watch from a distance after what happened. I am so hoping there is a happy ending for Benny and his mate

Cia I have loved this series since the first time I read it on Literotica and I am so glad to read it again. This last chapter with Bashta finding his niece had me in tears. You are a brilliant writer and I am glad to find you here, so onto the next part of the series as I know there is more... this will be about the fourth time I have read this but it is so addictive and beautiful and sad and lovely... there are too many words to describe it lol

As usual your stories are mesmerizing. I loved all these chapters and if I was able I would of liked them all. This is a brilliant story and can't wait to read more. I have a feeling there is more to Birch than even he knows to be able to adapt so quickly and help Sayer the way he did.

Okay I have now caught up too. Loved this chapter and really enjoyed the Valentines dinner that Max did for Josh and their respective gifts and responses, so sweet and romantic and right for these two. The way you have let their relationship develop and grow has been enjoyable to read. Tom and Mark I like how you have slowly let them get to understand each other and the way Mark reacted to the sketch is so admirable. There are going to be awkward moments for them both, least of all Max, I think it will be Tom's Dad who will be the real issue as he is bound to find out soon, if Tom doesn't tell him. Can't wait to read the next chapter and hope it is soon but understand too that it takes time and you have so many characters in your story to deal with. Glad to hear though that there will be an expansion on Tom and Mark.

Hello Night, This story is so good that I am only doing interim reviews lol sorry. First off love the pace of each chapter you bring such depth and reality to each character it is hard to stop reading. Poor Mark on all fronts, for being isolated from his relations and what his parents did... I am sorry to speak ill of the dead but as a parent that is unforgiveable I hope that Mark is able to go be with his Grandparents I think he needs that but I also feel that he needs Max too. I can foresee the Grandparents moving closer to Debbie and Max maybe!!! There are a few grammatical and spelling errors but no biggies as has already been pointed out So I will just say again great chapter and story and onwards to the next one

I have to agree with KaimukiMan I was so wrapped up in these chapters that I haven't reviewed them for awhile. Cliff hangers will do that to you lol I love this story, how Josh and Max, Kylie and Frank and Fay are always there for each other now. Tucker and Chris, am so glad he is recovering. I don't blame everyone's over reaction to Tom one bit, but if he truly is trying to change then I am proud of him but with his reaction to the Disco he has one big problem, he may not even realize it - he is infatuated with Max, not good. Also the mysterious James, you haven't touched on that again so does that mean he has calmed down or are we in for more surprises from that little maniac?
