Thanks! I'm so glad I got you interested. I have to admit writing that last chapter was a little hard on me. I think I may identify too much with Mick. I'm taking a little break from this story and working on Ezra's. I will be back to this one, though. I promise. I'm really glad you like it.

Yes, we really did need another chapter about him getting brutalized. There will likely be another one after this, until he gets to the point I need him to get to where he gets away. There are content/trigger warnings at the top of the chapter for a reason. I would suggest you skip the chapters that will be too much for you. There will be warm fuzzy chapters eventually. There will be a HEA eventually. But not right now. I would skip the next few chapters if I were you.
