Jacob “We will be dining in an hour,” Josh’s grandmother reminded me. “Okay, I’ll make sure to come down on time, grandma.” I smiled as I walked up the stairs. I was in a good mood; so good in fact, I had to stifle the urge to take two steps at the time. Not a good idea, that one. I had done it the first day, and had been reprimanded instantly. No running in the house, dinner at seven pm sharp, lights off at eleven pm sharp, sit upright, not slumped, always dress like you’re going to meet the

LOL your reply to Scary's review is awesome. Anyway, great sexy time! It's nice to see Shay really come out of his shell. :3 Sooo, as I assumed, Shay will end up on Lucere. So now it's Shay to the rescue? Or is he already too late? Really looking forward to find out! Having 3 versions of Mira run around (2 female) should really be awesome. If I got it right, the Arbiters are looking for Yugan and his race, and they are close to finding them? :3 There isn't much else to say, other than outstanding writing, keep it up! :3

Well, that was unexpected. ^^ But it probably make sense, in a way. Neil's father might have problems, but he's willing to work on it. His mother on the other hand is all emotional and while she loves her son, she is kinda ignoring anything else, instead of dealing with it.

Well, I predict either one extremely bitchy or extremely depressed JJ for pretty much the rest of the book. Looking forward to it either way (though I really do feel sorry for him). ^^

This is an amazing story! I've been looking for something like this for a while and I'm glad that someone recommended it to me. :3 I especially liked the part about them getting infected. I really didn't expect that. Anyway, with the rats apparently being carriers now, I have a suspicion that there won't be much left of Sandpoint, or any other settling for that matter. I really do wonder how they've survived for so long in Olympia. Assuming things didn't go to hell completely for the independent settlements: Getting Olympia on their side seems like a vital thing, and resettling people might actually be a great idea, as long as there is actually a way to do it. Then again, JP seems pretty ruthless and just the fact that he is, among other things, holding those fights (infected vs humans) shows pretty well just what sort of person he is. It's not like there's much of an alternative, but I do wonder just how bloody this is going to get. With the number of people in Olympia, they really are gambling for high stakes now. Anyway, although I have more or less given up on it, i really do hope that both Tristan and Adam still live. Looking forward to reading more!

Really great chapter. I keep hoping that they'll draft both Ty and Jim. I don't think Ty would like anything else. ^^ Looking forward to the next chapter were hopefully we'll see Neil meeting his parents. :3

I really hope that Neil's talk with his parents works out. Liam's father meeting Neil's father might also be a good thing. Maybe there will even be a talk between the two of them about having a gay son at some point? I'm also looking forward to Jim's training session. Perhaps Ty will finally be seen as he really is. He can't have that much more bad luck.

Great chapter, as always! I like how Liam's parents react. It's not the right thing they're doing, but it's very human. Well, as we tend to joke in Germany, 'puberty is when the parents become difficult'. It's really the sort of situation where the question should be 'What is this really about? Is it actually still about a reasonable punishment to learn from or is this simply about asserting authority?' Though actually asking that question is probably not a smart idea. Actually, I remember my parents didn't appreciate it. Anyway, great writing, I'm looking forward to more! Now that the worst of Liam/Neil thing is over, I'm really looking forward to reading about that training for Jim/Ty and how long it will take one of the pro-clubs to figure out who Ty really is and actually approach him and not his father...

This was sooo perfect and cute and awww, that really made my heart ache. Anyway, to be honest, I just came back from a party and I'm... not exactly sober. But since it's the state I was in when reading the chapter, I will write my review in this state, too. - Thinking about it, probably not-sober is a pretty good choice of state to be reading about a party where people are drinking. 1. Great choice of music! Thanks to you, tonight I have an endless loop of Bon Jovi going! 2. Kissy kissy! Finally!!! It SO was time for that. Although the whole scene reads more like a hollywood-movie than like reality, it still is totally cute, adorable, great, perfect, and actually, it could still happen like that in real life. Well, as I always say, an accomplished author is one who can write fictitious scenes believably. You definitely did this. 3. If I was allergic to cuteness, I'd sue you I had more to say, but I do not remember right now. So I will just finish my review by saying that I loved this chapter and that I'm looking forward to the next one <3 Sammy

What a treat! I guess this will set me back weeks on my own writing, considering my depression from the realization that I will never in my life be able to match the quality of my writing. ^^ Anyway, great chapter, and I'm glad I finally got around to reading it. The last scene: Déjà vu? Either I'm, like, completely wrong, or I totally know what's gonna happen next on Lucere. Anyway, I had this really weird thought that if Shay wasn't gay and all, he could totally go to Lucere and start his harem. Disturbing, isn't it? ^^ Anyway, I really hope they do manage to locate and meet The Seer. Then again, I've been hoping for that from the very beginning, but I now I'm actually seeing the possibility. I like how Shay takes 'being a god'. It's really a rather unusual direction for a story to take (at least of those I know) but so far, you're keeping the balance and it's pretty awesome. Let's hope the 'fuck ups' kids his age are prone to do aren't too big to fix. Love Sammy

Hahaha, oh Ty, why do you do this? Bad luck really... although it almost seemed a bit out of character that Ty would react so strongly. Probably because Dad wasn't around to watch him. ;3 As for Liam... plans like these... tend to end up being trouble... fooling parents like that hardly ever works out like planned. But maybe he'll be lucky... it's funny how dramatic he is about it... about what he's doing it for and that he's okay with whatever punishment his parents will give him when they find out... teenage feelings are so black and white at times...

Thank you, I'm working on it!

Thanks a lot and sorry for the long delay!

When Clarissa said it wasn't Liam she was bringing to the party, I got scared for a moment. but then... well, that was ingenious. Also, the comparison to Jim/Ken... well a bit far fetched, but still a good idea of Tony to use. Liam's parents are being, well, parents... a pain, in other words. I remember situations like this one all too well from my own teenage years. Parents can be so damn unreasonable!!! They just don't understand!!! I'm really, truly feeling for Liam here. Looking forward to more!

haha, the last two paragraphs made me laugh, and they really do sum up Liam's... state... nicely. hehe he's really got it bad. Somewhere during the last chapter I was beginning to lose hope for Liam and Neil, but now I'm back to eagerly looking forward to their reconciliation. I'm really glad that Neil and Liam take such a large part of this story. At the beginning I didn't expect them to play such a big role (though I was hoping they would). At least to me, this is by far the most interesting part of the story (though all the other characters and their stories are great and interesting, too). Anyways, looking forward to the next chapter!

Awesome chapter with some nice, entertaining drama. I feel really bad for Liam And for Neil too, but for some weird reason not as much as for Liam. Idk, but I'm positive it will work out. I really didn't get the reference with German (Kapitän, and stuff). It was still pretty entertaining, though.

Aw, at the end I thought he was going to confess, but it's probably better for his chances that he didn't. I didn't expect Neil to be willing to wait until Alf is ready. Well... willing... at least that's what he wrote ("Okay"). ^^ I'm a bit surprised that the only way they can see to contact Ty is by inviting Jim for a training session? Or did I get that wrong? Either way, it gives the opportunity for both of them to be drafted, which is cool. :3 Really looking forward to Liam's confession. Todd at Liam's place should be interesting, too. :3
-
I'm glad the news thing went over well. I can't wait for Alf to "come out" to Neil... I'm actually starting to think that Neil might give him a chance (after blowing up at first, maybe). He isn't as insecure and 'imbalanced' as he used to be. He might feel tricked, but it won't be the end of the world, emotionally, because he's a lot more grounded in his life than he was before he came to the Leopards. Looking forward to the next part! :3

It's great to read the interaction (if you can call it that, lol) between Neil and Liam. I'm looking forward to more of it. Also, I've read up on Arron Light. What a sad story! I am wondering... Did this give you some sort of inspiration for writing Street Life, or is that completely unrelated? As for the TV thing... judging from the ad, it's possible that they go either way. I have a feeling that it will portay Neils father as a homophobic prick and the club as the saviours, though. But maybe that's just wishful thinking... >.< Timothy summed it up pretty well. I don't think there's much I could add. <3
-
Well, it certainly seems that you can learn a lot of things by eavesdropping at football games. xD Anyway, great chapter! I can't wait for Neil to confront the reporter. She will probably try to twist his every word... it remain to be seen whether he manages to still get his story across... I guess it really depends on whether she tries to make it into the juicy story of the club corrupting a kid or she has some sense of fairness and/or thinks that a story about an abusive father and the club coming to rescue might just sell similarly good. ^^

This was so much fun to read! I've been waiting all the time for this to finally happen. Now we only have to wait for Liam to contact the Leopards. He should be able to figure that out, I think. I'm glad that I was correct about his mom. She isn't exactly happy about it, but she'll be okay after a while, I think (though... depending on who she turns to with this - some homophobic priest, or someone who's a bit more tolerant). His father is gonna take a little longer, if he ever comes around. Either way, however mislead he is, his intention has always been to protect Neil. It remains to be seen how much damage he will do to Neil and the Club by continuing to want to protect his son. Neil already turned 18, didn't he? Or is he about to turn 18? I don't quite remember. I can see Liam going to the Leopards (or calling one - did he have one of their numbers?) in order to find out what happened to Liam (or to alert them and have them join his search). They might just run into one another there... Given a situation like that, I wonder whether Neil will come out to Clarissa (and others)? He might want to get it over and done with before it comes out another way (like his father...). Unless he hopes to remain in the closet? Doesn't look like very likely that will work though. Anyway, I'm really looking forward to the next chapter!

Damn, now I know what was smelling so fishy around here - it tends to happen when pussy is involved. Looking forward to (possibly) seeing a new side of JJ... one that's pretty scary tbh...^^
-
Oh God, I hope nothing too bad happens to Neil... if his father figures out he's gay... well that wouldn't end pretty... if he doesn't... then we're just one step closer to the big fireworks that will eventually happen. Maybe Liam will play some kind of role when something does happen? Maybe he'll even blow his secret identity when he's rushing to help Neil? Hmmmm... can't wait for more! I wonder how soon Ty figures out what his father is doing. Kind of a stupid thing to do, since Ty will figure it out eventually...

You're welcome!

Hey :3 While I didn't quite understand JJs actions last week, I believe I understand him better now. He, as well as Mary Ellen did surprise me in this chapter. I like where this is headed.
