Lol, so always two... now the question is, who is the apprentice? It should be telling that I got that reference even though I never heard that line in English, only in German. Anyway, I liked the chapter, great work. I'm not sure Konstantin's plan to go on the offensive is the greatest idea, but then, anything else would sorta suck for story development, I guess. As long as he waits until the internal problems are resolved... then again, actually being at war might make his job a lot easier (that is, as long there is war against an alien race, different human fractions tend to get along a lot better... Yugan, Dagen, Shay... the whole thing is a bit confusing in the details, I might have to go over it later one more time. But all in all very nice. I sorta knew/suspected that reason for Yugan's race to withdraw from technology etc. all along, but having it confirmed was good. :3 I do like the idea of the whole rebirth(?) thing. If I get it right, Shay thinks that Yugan is Dagen? I hope I didn't get it all wrong. Anyway, can't wait to see how that will end. Great writing, I hope you will find the time for another chapter soon and from Germany

heh, sorry I didn't really see that you wrote another comment until new, sorry. I'm glad that our public transport is a lot better organized. As long as you live somewhere close to a city you are going to be fine. But really, if you have enough time you can get from most any point to any other in the country by public transport. But then, everything is a lot smaller and closer here. And lol, interesting story. People hardly ever talk in public transport here (except for some very long train rides... I did have some interesting conversations during my trips to Denmark, but other than that...) Well, thanks again for commenting, and I'm happy to have given you something to think about.

What is Christmas really about?
Sammy Blue commented on Sammy Blue's story chapter in What is Christmas really about?
Hey droughtquake, I'm sorry to hear that. In Germany it is usually not that bad, but if you struggle with walking at all, or with carrying weights, then every meter counts... and while the mall where I work is sitting at a crossing of two major roads, there is actually pretty much no place where a taxi could pick you up, the closest being the loading area at the back entry of my store. Were her bags filled with groceries or gifts for relatives? This is a very good question. Two of my German readers discussed the question whether she wouldn't be celebrating with relatives, considering she bought a whole duck (or whether she just bought it for melancholy's sake and threw the rest away or ate it later) - and back then I said, since the story is based on an elderly lady that I actually saw and talked to, I really don't know, but my own take is that she celebrates alone. However, your question actually brings something up that I hadn't really consciously taken into consideration. I don't want to tell you it is one way or another. I can only tell you that my own take is that yes, she did at least buy some gifts for people who couldn't, or wouldn't celebrate with her. As for Jesus and Muslims: Yes, that is correct. However, I do not have the impression that the majority of the German Muslims really realize that. Even if they do, I think that the way Djadi put it is not an uncommon way of thinking. Additionally, even if Djadi is considered a Muslim, I don't see him actually believing in much anything of it. He really thinks and acts more like an Agnostic than anything else. I don't know if the story got that across but that was my thought on the matter. Anyway, lol, I wrote a lot. Thanks for giving me something to think about as well! And thank you for your review! I wish you merry festive days, as well, whichever you celebrate -
What is Christmas really about?
Sammy Blue commented on Sammy Blue's story chapter in What is Christmas really about?
Thank you for your review! I'm glad that I got the woman across so well. A woman just like her that I saw and talked to during a short break at work (the smoking employee at the loading area) inspired this story, so it's nice to see you picked out exactly that to comment. :3 Thank you again, and a merry Christmas to you and yours, too -
When our religion teacher asked the class what Christmas was about, the reactions were divided to either yawning or people rolling their eyes. “To not know that,” the resident teacher’s pet, Theodor, said. ”Well, that would be sort of embarrassing.” Then people started to discuss Jesus, Mary and some kings with gifts, but by that point I had already switched my brain to “stand by”. Honestly though, nowadays Christmas in Germany is nothing more than one big celebration of consumerism. In Septemb

Everyone knows what Christmas is about. Jesus, of course, some say. Excessive consumerism, others reply. But is that really all there is to it? Two young teens learn that it might be more than that. A short story for reflection.

LOL I was actually like going over wast to write in this review when I was about done with the chapter and one of the things on my mind way "I wonder what happened to Emma". Well I guess that question was sorta answered then. So yeah, you did provide me with a number of things I didn't expect.^^ Actually the whole plot thing... with the murder and all, I really didn't it coming at all. The writing was very good, though some scenes between Silas and the Pastor were probably a bit too cliche (and lol the scene with the police officer and the gun at the end was sorta,,, way cliche ) :3 That was fine though. I really liked how you made the whole story so compact/short yet still great and that it feels like nothing is missing. I also loved the whole band thing. Looking at it seems a bit cheesy (plot-line-wise) but lol I liked it and I don't think I've seen it ever before. Anyway, it's late so I am going to stop rambling and just go to bed! Great writing, thanks for sharing it!

Hey Bro, I finally started on this story and I must say I love it. Started this morning before work and read during all of my breaks and on the way home. I just had to stop for a review with this chapter. Just... wow, that was emotional. You almost made me cry. Really great chapter! As with most stories, some things (plot-wise) are easy to guess for me, but some others, such as Emma suddenly appearing... well I totally didn't see that coming. I really love it. Looking forward to reading the rest! :3

Hey Graeme!:3 Great chapter and I was about to say "this is the end? really?" But then i saw that there is to be a sequel! Considering that, it was a good point to stop;3 how long do you think it will take before you start posting? cant wait to see what the main plots will be? will it start right where this one stopped or will it be with some time in between? :3 xx Sammy

Wow, this is the beginning of the end, is it not? I really like this story and it's going to be hard to let go of the team in a few weeks (or hopefully a bit longer...) Great writing, can't wait for the next chapter!

Finally I have the opportunity to write a review! First I have to say this was an amazing chapter! I really enjoyed it. There was a lot of information, some of which I probably will have to go back for to reread, but well, I was waiting for this so I liked it! :3 I really loved the naming of their ship. Great choice. :3 Also, this gets ***** + ** stars, the extra two being for the German beer. Finally something of my country in this story... The information on how politics work were interesting and I can't wait to see what will happen to Konstantin... things play together nicely, first Konstantin gets this promotion and then Shay and Mira bring back all the necessary information - if only there wasn't that alien ship that followed them. I'm positive Liberty can kick it's ass though. Will Yugan appear in the next chapter or is that one also focused on Shay and Konstantin? :3 Love Sammy <3

Thanks guys! and bleh, nosty, don't remind me! also, leave me some cake <3

Thank you all so much for your wishes! I haven't been around a lot this year but it makes me happy to see that some people still remember me. Today I will sadly be very busy with school(first day there for my apprenticeship), but hopefully i will find some time later for a little celebration (with german beer of course ) Anyway, thanks everyone and have a great day! I love this series! Great to see yet another book and another ton of drama. I can't wait for Will's plans to unfold. I think he's going a bit too far, or at least he goes at it too dramatically, but we'll see how it turns out. I think compared to many other things he has done lately this is going to actually piss of Brad, not just annoy him a bit - and that is not something one should do. ^^ The end of JJ and Alex was sorta expected. Looking forward to reading what JJ will do now. Keep it up!

Great chapter! The Jeweler is creepy and it's annoying how much Justin doesn't think, just expects things to happen his way... throwing pity parties for himself and being hormonal... basically going through life like some 14 y/o brat... ooooh wait... :D Awesome writing! Also, the Jewel graveyard thing... I actually really loved that.. no idea what problems others got with that... ^^ Anyway, can't wait for the next chapter! :3

Jacob “We will be dining in an hour,” Josh’s grandmother reminded me. “Okay, I’ll make sure to come down on time, grandma.” I smiled as I walked up the stairs. I was in a good mood; so good in fact, I had to stifle the urge to take two steps at the time. Not a good idea, that one. I had done it the first day, and had been reprimanded instantly. No running in the house, dinner at seven pm sharp, lights off at eleven pm sharp, sit upright, not slumped, always dress like you’re going to meet the

LOL your reply to Scary's review is awesome. Anyway, great sexy time! It's nice to see Shay really come out of his shell. :3 Sooo, as I assumed, Shay will end up on Lucere. So now it's Shay to the rescue? Or is he already too late? Really looking forward to find out! Having 3 versions of Mira run around (2 female) should really be awesome. If I got it right, the Arbiters are looking for Yugan and his race, and they are close to finding them? :3 There isn't much else to say, other than outstanding writing, keep it up! :3

Well, that was unexpected. ^^ But it probably make sense, in a way. Neil's father might have problems, but he's willing to work on it. His mother on the other hand is all emotional and while she loves her son, she is kinda ignoring anything else, instead of dealing with it.
-
Well, I predict either one extremely bitchy or extremely depressed JJ for pretty much the rest of the book. Looking forward to it either way (though I really do feel sorry for him). ^^

This is an amazing story! I've been looking for something like this for a while and I'm glad that someone recommended it to me. :3 I especially liked the part about them getting infected. I really didn't expect that. Anyway, with the rats apparently being carriers now, I have a suspicion that there won't be much left of Sandpoint, or any other settling for that matter. I really do wonder how they've survived for so long in Olympia. Assuming things didn't go to hell completely for the independent settlements: Getting Olympia on their side seems like a vital thing, and resettling people might actually be a great idea, as long as there is actually a way to do it. Then again, JP seems pretty ruthless and just the fact that he is, among other things, holding those fights (infected vs humans) shows pretty well just what sort of person he is. It's not like there's much of an alternative, but I do wonder just how bloody this is going to get. With the number of people in Olympia, they really are gambling for high stakes now. Anyway, although I have more or less given up on it, i really do hope that both Tristan and Adam still live. Looking forward to reading more!

Really great chapter. I keep hoping that they'll draft both Ty and Jim. I don't think Ty would like anything else. ^^ Looking forward to the next chapter were hopefully we'll see Neil meeting his parents. :3
