Sammy Blue

I really liked the set up, that is, the relationship between JJ and Alex, Alex having sex with ME, ME being pregnant, that was great. But for this chapter I will have to agree with Gary. This seems... wrong somehow. Actually, plot-wise this seems not all that bad. Alex getting married (potentially even because ME deliberately tricked him or whatever), JJ being a mistress, that not working out, JJ leaving, or possibly harming himself some more, Alex possibly doing everything to get JJ back, fucking up his marriage or the ties to his family in the process... Or maybe even Alex backing out even before the marriage because he can already see how much trouble this will bring and he wants to put JJ first... a lot of great possilibities for drama. But aren't you putting plot before credibility here? JJ isn't this naive is he? He mananged to get over his bitchy persona for Alex, however, he's still rather manipulative in how he wants Alex to view him (though he does really love him). But this isn't about Alex showing up too late to his game, this is about his partner getting married to some 'slut'. This is something everyone would bitch about, and JJs a diva. Now, on the outside he might be all nice and smiles if needs be, but I don't see him being this relaxed about it. He's not that stupid. He's got to know that he's losing badly here. Of course, there is little he can actually do, other than to give Alex the choice between ME and himself, buuut... JJ was never the person to think "okay, this sucks, but I can't change it, so I will just accept it and not bitch". And he's doing exactly that here, and that's... weird, because it's quite sudden. Now, this is just my opinion, and I'm sure there are some other readers who disagree with me. Okay, I'm done rambling. xD Looking forward to the next chapter!

I really really don't like where this is going xD This Jeweler guy seems too nice. I liked Zero better... and he was a pain... You're really turning me paranoid about the people Justin is meeting. Anyway, I have a feeling I understand some things a lot better now. Justin was right about that part, the Jeweler is more sane that Zero... or least he makes more sense when talking. Still waiting for Richie to wake up... :3

I've been away for a long time, but I'm finally back now, and caught up, too! This story is soooo awesome! I really like the focus on Neil and Liam, it's a unique situation that you're writing masterfully. I can't wait for more. Jim: Not much to say there. Things are good and the whole school program thing is really cool. I'm hoping to read a part on him doing that with older kids. Dave: Wow, very disturbing, very emotional. You handled that very well. I think by now Dave is at a very low point, and hopefully he won't sink any lower. I'm actually positive that it will go uphill from here, though it will certainly take a long time. Neil: It's great to see how much he changed. A while back, I was really worried but his crush on Jim would majorly screw things up, but by now that's not really a fear anymore. It's great to see him come out of his shell and Todd's a really great guy. Without him, things would be very different for Neil. There's only the thing with Liam... Liam: Well, this is messed up. I love where you're going here. Liam seems like a very likable guy now. Only the problem is, while currently his chatting with Neil really is cute - and it's great to read about those two starting to act like teens with a crush tend to do, - it will blow up real bad. I can't wait to see how this ends, and I hope things will work out. Knowing you, they will. But it will also be a very painful road. Or possibly something happens that solves things in a different way? The worst thing probably is that while it's a really stupid idea to try this anonymous approach with Neil (considering his trust issues and their past), it is also the only real choice Liam has. Neils parents: I've been thinking about this. Are they really as bad as they appear to be? I used to think I knew what they were like, but I'm not so sure anymore. His mom almost seems nice, at times...? And his dad... well, he is as homophobic as it gets, but at some points I had a feeling a lot of that was just talk. Would he really outcast his own son? I'm not so sure anymore. Anyway, I can't wait for more! xo Sammy

What a great story! It is nice to read something out of the ordinary every once in a while. I really like the twist with the twins and raising one of their own. Now they only need a Cana baby and everything will be alright. ;D

This was awesome! This chapter is really upping the pace, things are picking up now. Earlier today I was discussing how realistic this actually is. Konstantin being offered this high a position does seem very unrealistic at first glance. Then again, you're really not the guy to do something just because 'it's cool' without considering stuff like being realistic and so on. So I concluded that you were probably thinking something when doing that and that got me thinking. First of all, Konstantin's speech was pretty devestating, and they had more than a billion (perhaps even several billion) people watching. The number probably increased after that info was given through his ear thingy. With the things he said, it would be pretty hard to convince everyone he was wrong. If they'd just voted that other guy in, chances are a lot of people would be joining the brotherhood. Or maybe they'd even have a full revolution? Offering Konstantin that job would serve best to get in favor with the masses. The loyalists don't have much to lose and the corporalists, well, two of the six are enough to get a majority, so possibly two of them thought they'd rather gain favor with the masses than with their superior, or possibly didn't even know just what was going on and believed what he said. It's likely that he will do something with that position. The people who made this decision are only a few among the full senate (or whatever they have), soooo if those particular few have something to gain from what he will do, hope to get him on their side with their voting for him... Then again, maybe they were just afraid of a revolution and voted him in, only to have him assassinated, just like the premier, a week later. Though that sounds like making things unecessarily difficult. Another factor, although I'm not sure about this one, is that with the premier dead, the position they're offering him should be even more powerful, at least for the time being. --- Now on to a different topic: With them being to blame for the Sharpe Virus... is it just me or doesn't that make much sense? I feel like I am forgetting something that was said in earlier chapters. Okay, I'm done rambling. It's been an awesome read, I can't wait for more. After a long break from GA, I'm back and have finally caught up with your writing. One would think that after some three and a half million words a story would get boring, and I was a bit worried about that after 9/11 because when looking at Streak I was thinking... sports aren't really my thing, and I mostly skim the sex scenes... but having read it now, I have to say once again: Awesome. This story is really pulling me in and the characters feel so real to me, it's scary sometimes. Great work! I find myself really warming up to JJ. The whole deal with his coach and telling Alex seemed a bit anticlimactic, but I guess that's okay. It was just a bit surprising. Then again, with the end of this part, his feelings are right back at the very bottom. I hope things don't go too bad. Will should realize that something like this might happen and come after him. I hope he does, especially since Alex can't really be there for JJ right now (at least not without making things obvious for a bunch of people). Reading about Wade and Matt is nice and it gives me a good feeling to see that they have finally resolved their drama and moved on to a happy and functioning relationship. Speaking of drama... The whole deal with Zack (and also the few bits about JJ and Brad) were fun. Back with Will I really enjoyed it, but it was also way intense. This time I could read without fearing a heart attack. Now, Darius: I SO saw that coming. I've actually been waiting for this to happen. I have a feeling this is gonna end bad. If he goes through with it, I'm aready seeing some lost limb or something. I hope he won't die (though I think it's unlikely...?^^). If I remember correctly, the causalities of the Iraq war were relatively low, compared to e.g. Vietnam. Mary Ellen being pregnant? Now I didn't see that coming and this is exactly why I love CAP so much. I usually avoid stories with drama, but here, I'm so hooked, I might have to go into rehab if you ever stop writing. ;P Really looking forward to how this latest development plays out! xx

Hidden Sunlight is the best romance I've ever read, and certainly one of the best stories hosted on GA. I'm glad to see this post, I wish there was more attention to this breathtaking work. Stellar certainly deserves it.

I agree about twin names, that is my experience also. It kinda has a nice ring to it, though it's probably not always the best for the kids. So you're saying technique is more important than length? It's not unlikely that something like that will happen, I guess. :3
