Safe travels, Def. It looks like neither you nor I will have a white Christmas this year. LOL Not that we have any chance of that any year down in South Florida. Hell, this year we'll be in the low 80s.
Too bad I don't have the next Liebe in the Florida Keys adventure written yet, you could have test-read it to my little club. Oh well, sometime after the New Year.
Hey! I never promised 4 chapters in a row. I already did that last month when I started posting. If I repeat that move you guys will definitely be spoiled. And @Daddydavek will probably still be unhappy with the word count.
@Anton_Cloche
Thanks, Tony. Love the Biker Santa.
This was your Secret Santa chapter! Sinve I post new ones on Friday's and this one went up on a Thursday, there's another one on the way.
Hope the Holidays and 2022 are gentle and kind to you and yours.
Big Hugs!
Or my knees. I'm nursing a coffee mug after having swallowed 4 ibuprofen and anointing myself with Ben-Gay, trying to get ready for my morning exercising. At least my sinuses are clear thanks to the menthol vapors, and the arthritis in the hands isn't acting up too much.
“You did well. Much more focused than our first time.” Austin, on his back next to CJ, glanced sideways at his sparring partner.
“We keep this up, one of us may end up needing medical attention.” After landing on it several times, CJ knew his butt would be bruised and sore that night.
“Ha! Doubt that.” Marine Corps Sergeant Austin MacKenzie gulped air; the effort had winded him. “I started including some of the stretches you showed me. Regular PT doesn’t focus as much as you do on flex
Merry, merry, Def.
It does help when you sell your plan to the Secretary of Education first. LOL But I have a feeling it would be easier in Mexico no matter what.
Come back tomorrow for our regularly scheduled chapter. 😃
I've been trying to rake my brain thinking of any other gingers I may have mentioned in the series. Did I have an unnamed one in Cadet? I guess Tom Kennedy qualifies as one even though his head is now shaved.
@Cris L Congratulations on you wedding!!!
And thank you for validating what I wrote. You should watch the movie; CJ and I did not do it justice with our brief description. I haven't seen it as many times as CJ has, but each viewing makes me enjoy it more. Like he says, it's a sports flick with a strong message.
Having never watched a single episode of NCIS, I'll take your word for it. Alternatively, CJ's rules will be revealed whenever they fit something the author wants to achieve.
By the end of the story, she'll love Uncle Linc even more.
As far as I know, CJ, Owen, and Liebe should be arriving in Colorado about now. Some ten days in Vail should be fun. As soon as I get a report, I'll write it all up and share it.
See ya tomorrow.
Except for a hiccup here and there, I wanted this book to be upbeat. CJ's about to turn 24, he's graduated college, had a kid, and his life has changed, but I want him to retain the joy with which he's tackled everything up to now.
Thank you.
You must correct that oversight. Anything with either Freeman or Damon has a good chance of being great. Both together... I'm certain it's available right now, sither streaming or cable.
I love that movie. Still working on those commandments, I'll share them as soon as I have them all. LOL
You're the official poet of the CJ series, how'd you like me mentioning 3 poems in one chapter and all liked by our poetry disliking man?
In his usual fashion, CJ has acquired friends quickly. They may not be as close as Squad members, but I guarantee some of them will show up in future stories.
I tend to want to share historical details, locations, or a singular event, then I write a chapter around it. In this one I get to discuss Rugby and a bit of apartheid's end. But the best part was talking about Mandela, a perfectly imperfect man who changed the world, and Freeman, a superb actor I love (plus he's GOD!) Of course, throwing in a hottie like Matt Damon didn't hurt.
Feel free to use the line to your heart's content.
