Between Gamon and Benjamin Mookjai, Fabricio Baravento, and Carolina Prado, their kid has friends before it's born. But no, I'm not writing so far into the future to cover their lives.

@Daddydavek Fasteschapter to read? This one was over a thousand words longer than the last one! Wait until you read the story I'm working on right now. I'm experimenting with the thousand-words-a-chapter format! I can't remember exactly, but you may have been one of the people who cautioned me when I posted an excerpt from Summer way back when. I had a description of the dads' townhouse that sounded like a realtor's listing. I've tried to dribble things out and we'll get a few more tidbits next chapter when they reclaim possession of the house. And yes, they're stereotypical Millenials with the wealth to make most wishes come through. As for siblings for the baby, let me quote CJ: " And like you, we want to be our kids’ friends too." Notice the plural kids?

Thanks! I want you to know my status update this morning was posted with you in mind. I figured you would question a chapter going live on a day other than Friday.
-
You're one of a handful of people who know the kid's gender, so be careful. LOL Last year I got the presents on my birthday; I'm paying it forward. I may have overdone the sun today, I'm about to go harvest aloe leaves from one of my plants.
-
LOL It's good to have you comment! Can you believe I was accused of not milking Liz's death for more drama? HA! Glad you enjoyed that, Kitt. Thank you.
-
I've read the chapter countless time and I'm still not tired of it.
-
Ugh! We have another appearance by Brad next chapter; CJ's not done meddling. I've been known to rush through events, but I think I've milked the baby and Brad plenty. Let's see if I can keep it going.

Well, we finally found out what was in the letter. Took two books, but I hope it was worth the wait and it's now clear why I avoided details before. Liz leaving them her frozen eggs was a good confluence, CJ and Owen have been saying they wanted kids since before her death. So, don't think of it as a deathbed promise, but a happy confluence of wishes.
-
I think CJ may be the one to spoil the kid. Hopefully, Owen will rein him in when he goes overboard.
-
LOL You did guess correctly. Maybe we can start a pool on whether it's a boy or a girl. I think only 5 people know the baby's gender right now. Because they've worked on this book or because they read some other story where I referenced the kid. Place your bets!
-
Thank you. A long time ago, I mentioned the final Georgetown book would focus on CJ and Owen. I keep trying to show their relationships grow. Each one has their own strengths and I think they complement each other well.

“What are we listening to?” Tyler Scott ran his eyes and a finger down the wine bottle’s label. “Trader Joe’s Charles Shaw Blend 2017 Pinot Grigio. And why are we drinking Two Buck Chuck?” “Here, Ty.” Owen handed the man a different, nearly empty bottle and a glass. “Don’t you know Chef CJ doesn’t like to be distracted while cooking?” “Asshole!” CJ was happy. The Wednesday before Thanksgiving meant he and Owen had their cousins and their spouses at their apartment. The rest of the fa

Gina will play an important role in future installments. She'll be fine. CJ surrounds himself with confident individuals and she'll be no different. He does have a tendency to throw people off when they first meeting since he seldom brags about his wealth.

@Bft I hope some vets have the type of support I've surrounded Brad with. I doubt there's many if any at all. People like CJ are more common. Problem solvers who rush in to fill the gaps left by others. Heroes Have on a macro scale and his interventions on behalf of Brad on a micro one proves the kid's willing to act to back up his words. Individuals like him should be admired and whenever possible elevated to positions of power in business and government.
-
@Nahrung Let me know what you think of the call CJ made after you read the next chapter. I know I can't even come close to what goes through the minds of returning veterans who've lived through what I put Brad through. Many crack, and I wish there was something we could do. Those who surmount their challenges should be cherished as much as those who don't.
-
@davewri Thanks! Obviously, the story's moved along and CJ's now nearing the end of his time at Georgetown. I hope you and other readers come to enjoy the journey as much as I've had

Just for that, I'm posting more Brad scenes. Get the tissue box now.

@frosenblum I'm heartbroken. CJ and Owen are in tears. The world's coming to an end. Okay, you can read about Eric first but only every other Friday. @northie Accomplished author? HA! Not based on the comments my editors leave. LOL
-
CJ's impulsiveness and Owen's thoughtfulness could be an issue but I'm trying to show them complimenting each other. CJ may be the rock star, but Owen's no slouch. As Cesar mentions several times in the series, the two of them together are dangerous. Every time I read any of the early Summer and Autumn chapters, I'm surprised at how childish CJ sounds even when he's mature beyond his years. He's definitely growing up as are the rest of the guys.
-
@Jaro_423 Hands off DiMarco, he's mine! LOL CJ's politics are a bit different from what most people embrace these days. Instead of being an ideologue, I'm trying to make him into an idealist who doesn't necessarily side with one party or another. Instead, he looks at candidates and issues. It means he regularly pisses off some readers!

You may be caught up but don't run to far. I may have a birthday present for you. I was a genius when I used Minsky early on. LOL Nah, when I introduced him, Mann cautioned me not to turn the story into a fan fic crap. Little did he know Minsky would be a drop in the celebrities bucket I planned on dropping CJ into. And little did I know I would be able to use him again. Always planned on Brad facing some issues but taking his legs didn't come until later.

The initial books had frequent POV shifts. When I decided to limit it to CJ's view, the pillow talks between C & B were a casualty. But CJ and Ozzie are serving a similar purpose. One coming up in the next chapter.
-
LOL Tetrefine told me something similar. He already has his ticket for the Pier Dance. Not sure I want to be one of those old farts dancing shirtless with ripped twenty-somethings!
-
Not only manipulative, his behavior borders on bullying! But as you said, it's all done with good intentions and never in a way to hurt anyone. Let's see what you think of his next moves. He's far from done.

It's a great song. I wanted something quirky and "Santeria" fit the bill.
