LMAO. Twelve of them? That might be too many even for me. At least on the same day.

Your namesake in the series works for the CIA. That can be dangerous. Maybe I should kill him off instead. But you're right. I do like to set things up so they don't come out of left field. One reason I've avoided the long-lost relative showing up. Although I do have one in mind I may use at some point.

He uses me to chronicle the fun stuff. Like so much in this series, I've used something real and extrapolated for my purposes. I gave them the wild night the previous evening so this one was upscale. But we saw how CJ felt in the morning. Been there, done that.

I think the violence in Deadpool is tongue-in-cheek whereas in The Punisher it's just there for the benefit of teen males. Let's hope with Disney buying Fox and reclaiming rights to FF and the mutants, we get some good stuff in the future. -

The show's okay, I like the Marvel stuff on Netflix better, even though I grew up on DC. Just watched The Punisher's second season and loved it. But then again, we already discussed my affinity for bad guys/bullies getting beat up and left bleeding. LOL -
I'm still pissed I wasn't invited and had to rely on what the guests told me afterward. BTW, dinner @ 21 for his 21st was inspired by something similar about 40 years ago. My friend Kathleen Michael Mulcahey (nice Irish girl from The Hamptons), invited 21 friends to celebrate her 21st. We didn't have dinner at 21, we bar hopped, and one of our stops was there. It was a cold, snowy, January night, we rode limos everywhere, and we ended up dancing at a Brazilian club until sunrise.

I've actually been toying with doing that. Just to prove I can do it. Some people around GA seem to think if you don't have characters full of self-doubts and miserable the story's not worth reading. The chapter was designed to bring the entire Squad together for one final joint appearance in this book. I wanted to show the warmth amongst them on a cold winter day. The event takes place in December of 1018, if CJ had waited a month to be born, I would have had fun with this week's weather. CJ's still searching for his testicles, they refuse to drop until the temps climb above freezing.

Unsure if the Supergirl TV show is available in Scandinavia. The most recent episode introduced an MTF super-hero. The times, they're a changin'. -
I'm impressed, Spikey. You not only read but remembered the story description! You know I dislike drawn-out, angsty dilemmas and like to resolve issues quickly. Would I set something up for Brad for so long?
-
So I can't spindle, fold, or mutilate Squaddies?
-
Thank you! More coming right up. The birthday celebration will resume in the next chapter and move to the West Coast.

Thanks, buddy. Some time ago I remember @Cia mentioning something about reaching all of a reader's senses. I've been trying to do that a few times in this book. One of the reasons I've described wines and included at least one song per chapter. I think the best one will be during a visit to Fire Island in the summer of 2019. Coming up in a few chapters. I mentioned the 21-character-dialogue to you before. What did you think of it?
-
I'm innocent, your honor! I'm being unjustly accused!
-
Take two aspirins and check with me in a week. Hopefully, your dread will be gone by then.
-
@Daddydavek Thanks, Dave. By now you know I love to describe settings in detail. I enjoyed doing it with a restaurant instead of an exotic location this time.
-
So I have people tearing up and you think it's funny. I'm either schizo or getting good at eliciting emotional responses. Brad's a big boy, I'm sure he can take care of himself.
-
So where did you tear up? As for Brad, you mentioned your fear the last chapter and now again. Would I set up his demise that way?
-
Damn! What did I write that has everyone dreading my plans for Brad? I mean, I've only killed off about half-a-dozen characters. And It's been a while anyway.
-
Thanks, bud. Is that what your 21st birthday party was or will be like?
-
Thanks, AR. I love writing speeches for CJ!
-
Thank you! Everything I described about the place is true. What Owen read is really from their website. I've never been to the basement dining room, but the upstairs is awesome. You feel transported to an earlier time.
-
Thanks, Chris. Giving 21 character dialogue lines was scary. Hopefully, I didn't confuse readers too much. A few were left untagged when I felt it didn't matter. Like when I described the dessert by different people telling us what components they liked.

Is there a section on commas before conjunctions? And as for the cartoon Thorn shared, tell Michael I like his purple, fuzzy slippers... -

Key West! Sorry about the mystery, people. Those of you following CJ will figure it out in a couple of months. -
“FUCK!” CJ’s monumental hangover the morning after was momentarily forgotten when he stubbed his toe on the toilet. On the way to the kitchen, he peeked at the thermostat and lowered the setting. The apartment was too warm; his body felt clammy. He cracked a window and stood in front of it allowing the chilly air to cool him. Before his friends poured him into a cab the previous evening, CJ had vomited in the gutter to the applause of people he immediately added to his must kill list. Owen w
