Some people often say that teach in France only work from 8.30-11.30/1.30-4.30 4 days per week for 32 weeks but we have meetings and trainings on our lunch breaks or after class, at the end of the day it rings at 4.30 but the time it takes for the students to collect their stuff and go to the gate and masking sure everyone go out safely it's more like 4.40 at best. Then preparing contents for the next day, meetings with parents, mandatory academic support groups. We're also nurses, psychologists, referee, social workers... Some say working in education is like a bad marriage, we stay for the kids.
