Not for the moral aspect, but for the challenge of it. i've known Lawyers like it, the more complex, disastrous, and doomed the case, the more intriguing it is to them. How do I beat this, how do I win. Andrew's walked into his world, and Kellerman's found someone interesting that he can relate to.

It's funny, Andrew's always been a bit of a loner. He's friends with Jared, but not as close as Jared and Will are. He and Brody always had a friction to them. Lisa and Andy tolerate each other, but it's not exactly warm. Will's been Andrew's best-friend as much as he has been his lover/partner. Even much later, it's West that seems to get Andy the best and even then that's beer in the garden of their house, and still the two of them don't exactly pal around. So through the four years total 2001-2005 (Carter's Duty through Carter's Recourse) Andrew's fairly on his own. Kellerman giving him advice, and being that friend that Andrew needs is a good beat. It saves Andrew from making some really bad decisions, such as proposing to Will for the wrong reasons and at the wrong time in their lives.

We get a lot of Andrew the Spy, what I wanted with this one was to show Andrew the Lawyer and how Kellerman is shaping him.

I used to do nifty with the Falcon Banner and the early Carter books, just looking to attract more readers in.

I am contemplating how heavilly to lean into the jokes... I admit I am finding writing this one to be a bit of a break from the usual melodrama and whacky... this one's just easy comedy... I've also been writing a strange story about an English Street gang. Which is going rather well. Lot's of short stories lately, again, it's my way of stirring the pot and seeing what works and what doesn't. I did this at Christmas, but with decidedly more Bailey's.... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm coffee.... I also bought myself a new present:
