Interesting, almost like it wants to get caught... hmmmmmmmm wonder who could be behind that...

HMS Acheron, 300 Meters Under the North Sea Andrew surfaced from the black oblivion, not to solid ground, but to the shocking sensation of wetness. A cold, insistent dampness seeping through his clothes. His eyes fluttered open, refusing to focus, the world a blurry, swirling mess of shadows and emergency red light. The metallic tang of blood filled his mouth, and a searing pain throbbed at the back of his head where he’d hit the bulkhead. His ears rang, a deafening, high-pitched whine that

could be the bean burrito he ate...

I was asked, when I first mentioned I wanted to write this, to do those scenes, to show Andrew's side of the relationship. So I went in with it when I could. I like Andrew as a character, always have. Up's and downs, his confusion over Will throughout the books, he hasn't had it easy. But I love that rock-steady relationship. It's all too easy to put melodrama into their lives, cheating, or miscommunications... but they've been through all of that and are beyond it. They're at that point in their lives where they are real partners, built on trust. I wanted to write that kind of relationship, the one that we aspire towards.

July CSR Discussion Day: Carter's Army by Topher Lydon

I was stranded there for two weeks.. .so technically lived there for two weeks. I met the most amazing people, ate the tastiest food, and lived, loved and revelled in it. I would live there if I could. I would regularly visit, my boy would find a way into the most amazing trouble he could find... and the people there... so honest and kind. -

To explain, I was involved in a train crash, in China. A bridge my train was crossing collapsed out from under us. Initially I was knocked about, didn't think much of it. Then while at work at Jinan University, I started to get a numbness in my leg... Again I dismissed it. This continued till I eventually collapsed at work. Turned out it was severe nerve damage to my left side. Being in China I was not in a place to receive the kind of care I needed, and there is no disability support for foreign workers there. I had no choice but to come home. (There are a few other stops along the way) but my health degenerated over that ten year period. It has taken a lot of time, amazing nurses, constant support and people that wouldn't give up when I wanted to to get me back to a point where I feel like I did before the accident (aside from the walking bit but hey I am a menace in a wheel chair... ) I also had a rat-bastard of an ex-husband, who will get eviscerated in a future book, :: evil grin :: revenge is a very... very sweet thing for an author. -

I have a personal Genuine love for Rikard. He's very close to what I would be, were I an evil sociopath... so a Friday night at a gay bar

Ahh Rikard and the FTL comms, nothing quite like having unfettered access to mess with people. In case it wasn't obvious, that was Rikard impersonating VonGrippen's hologram speaking to Darien in his stateroom, as well as this fresh hell for poor Galadriel.

Orion Transport Roaming Bazaar - Daso-Muwe System The holographic image melted around him as the projectors deactivated, restoring his normal surroundings. The former Chancellor leaned on the small railing a moment, allowing a slight smile to drift across his face before he stepped down from the platform. He recovered his greatcoat before he removed the Excalibur's FTL transceiver from its access port. Taking the time to examine, his watch. They were due to arrive soon, and he could feel th

I don't think it's a ruse. Enrico is genuinely battling real feelings for the boy vs what he thinks he has to do. Xue is merely calling him on his BS. Do you think he will intentionally harm Ezra?

Sinclair's Office, Northern Aegis, Manchester, United Kingdom The sprawling, glass-encased aerie perched atop the Northern Aegis tower in Manchester was usually a sanctuary of controlled power, but tonight, bathed in the cool glow of a dozen monitors, it felt like the eye of a hurricane. It was late, the city below reduced to a glittering, indifferent tapestry, but inside, the silence was shattered by the low murmur of a hundred digital voices. Lachlan Sinclair sat at his massive, poli

Karin City - Karin "No," Walker said evenly, looking down the double row of his advisors seated along the council table. The high glass windows of the chamber faced out over the maw, the voices of the steady chant being heard clearly by all within. "But your Grace," said William Allison. A trade unionist and the representative of nearly a third the Karin workforce, he stood halfway down the table, clutching the petition tightly in his hands. "Four million workers of the southern contin

Things get rather delicious from here.

This chapter was a hard write, many revisions, a bit of consultation with my AI assistant on plausibility... Damn that tool is bloody useful for that kind of analysis... I thought I had written myself into a corner, a dead book, dead plot kind of corner... :: smiles wickedly:: My best friend Sam provided the solution, and he is directly responsible for all the suffering that is to come. Ahhh he is ruthless and honest when I mess up, and makes me think my way out of problems. We all need friends like that... even if they are annoyingly right all the time.

Well it is Matt Damon............ the man is weirdly flawless... mmmmmmmm Matt Damon

I like bad choices. The keep things interesting. A lot of mis-steps on both sides makes it feel a bit more human and less James Bond.
