    Chapter 15

Will, as is confirmed in later books, is a dual citizen. Both Canadian and British.

    Chapter 17

I mean given the latest Jack Ryan series, who hasn't had that fantasy...

    Chapter 17

Coincidentally yes, I had written Andrew's fear of flying before I had decided to make him a spy, I think it was Carter's Duty when I first put him on a plane (still a law student). Now you've brought up Ryan I am groaning at the parallel in that usual writer curse that everything's been done before.

    Chapter 17

I do enjoy putting that poor man on planes, and other things that fly. I think, when this is all over, he's going to insist on Will paying for them to take a boat home.
  5. Streets of Manchester, United Kingdom The Mustang roared, its powerful engine a violent counterpoint to the thick, uneasy silence inside the cabin. Andrew gripped the wheel, his knuckles white, his usual reckless driving amplified by an almost manic focus. The sleek vehicle cut through the Manchester traffic with aggressive impatience, braking sharply, accelerating with lunging force, weaving through lanes as if the city streets were his personal racetrack. Gregory, strapped into the passenger

    Chapter 16

Give Mary a bit of time, she's on it. Mary's also developing over the next few chapters. Which I like, she's smart.

    Chapter 15

The COB is a grey-man was a card I've been waiting to pull since book one. He was the blood sample Doctor Kyr missed all that time ago.
  8. Orion Transport - Orion Territory Rikard stepped down from the holographic immersion pod, reaching out to pull the FTL transceiver from the computer console tossing it up into the air and catching it neatly. Two birds with one stone, he now knew what the secret behind the Peligian diary was, and he had orchestrated a trap, all in a single masterful stroke. "So gullible." He murmured with a smile as he walked towards the far doors. He checked his watch, nodding with satisfaction that

    Chapter 33

Believe in the Engineer, trust the engineer... the engineer is all.

    Chapter 32

For sure, he's teflon wrapped in butter, and coated in olive oil. Slick.

  12. I've changed my mind, not that you haven't written one, you have. Just *which* one you wrote. Oh that *that* was sneaky, unless you wrote two just to mess with my binge-writing melted brain... you could have written two... but no that *would* be sneaky.

    Chapter 16

It's funny how overloaded as I writer I can become when mid book. It makes me terribly absent minded, all my brain cells seem focused on what I am doing, then once it's done... poof gone page-file cleared for new data... it frustrates the hell out of my friends who find Writer-Chris to be a bit of a space cadet. When I go on a tear it means I have entire conversations with someone talking to me that I simply have no recollection of moments later.

    Chapter 16

One of Will's weaknesses/strengths is his sense of right and wrong. He's very idealistic, something he has never quite broken from despite the world he moves in. I think he's been called a Boy-scout by one or two characters in other books.

    Chapter 16

HAHAHAHAA I am glad someone caught the nod to a certain QI host.

    Chapter 16

Odd my morning writing, (Chapter 24 for those who are curious) Ezra continues to intrigue me, for a throw away honeypot target, he's decidedly... more important. It's like the Character has decided to sit on the page, cross armed and refusing to budge from the plot and the story. I've had a few characters like this over my writing, Firlotte in the Falcon Banner, Luke in Return of the sun, and most famously Jared was one of these. And Gregory is smarter than he looks, I have a fine appreciation for Andrew's "partner" in this one. He was good in Recourse, but in this one he's proving to be intelligence in action.
  17. Obfuscate all you want, but only you would wield underpants with lethal Comedic effect... unless that WAS @Inkognito... >.< now I am not sure...
  18. So @Inkognito wrote all the stories, except ONE, looks squarely @Jeff Burton

    Chapter 16

Thanks, I am trying to keep it grounded and pulling from many sources, leaning on friends for advice. I found with Recourse, the last book, that there was a shift in my writing, and I've been wanting to write a tighter story ever since. It's... a lot to keep track of. But getting there. Act Two is nearing it's climax, then we're going to go into the third, which should be interesting.
  20. Canada House, Trafalgar Square, United Kingdom The morning light, usually a welcome flood into Will Carter’s expansive office at Canada House, felt harsh, intrusive. He sat stiffly behind his polished desk, a mug of cold coffee forgotten beside a stack of diplomatic cables. Across from him, Lisa, held her tablet, its screen glowing with the stark, undeniable image of their current nightmare. It was Jacob. Small, impossibly frail, nestled amidst the tangle of tubes and wires that had becom

    Chapter 1

Yep, I will get them all on here before too long. I don't know when I can get to book six, but if it counts I am considering it.

    Chapter 14

Ahh the next chapter. Ramsey takes Sepphie to school on the short bus. Man I forgot how much I loved the 242nd light horse.
  23. YOu!?! Yes you! LOL I know you did it, I feel your vibe all over one of those stories. Not going to say which one, but hah! You thought you could fool me... that's right, onto you... and your story-fication of ... stuff.
  24. so where do the guesses go, or do I hold onto them? And I know what you did, I know who you are... you know what you did, and you know I know.
  25. HMS Excalibur - Yeji-Sola System Darien opened his eyes, feeling the warm padding of the Excalibur's command chair pressing against his back, embracing the sudden confusion and rush of elation as the Excalibur realized he was home. Forward, deep in a conversation with Masconi, Commander Durnham spun, a look of genuine surprise on his face as he stared at the Skipper sitting bruised and battered, shirt still torn, a flat black stone resting on his knees, looking about himself at his cre
