Chapter 14: The Sausage Delivery Protocol Orel Merrick sat in his "golden cube" sanctuary behind the DeLorean, his laptop glowing with a level of frantic data acquisition that usually preceded a major taxonomic breakthrough. With his first "official date" with Finn Grady approaching, he had identified a catastrophic information deficit regarding the role-based protocols of physical intimacy. He had initially attempted a scholarly descent into the Kama Sutra and peer-reviewed studies o

I'd be terrified, he'd whip me into shape in no time flat. I use @Seraph28 and @Paladin for beta reading, and they are great at it.

I may or may not have been smoking a virtual cigarette and enjoying my afterglow... um, Doc and I share a wavelength, and he isn't afraid to call my BS when I screw up, so I enjoy chatting to him... Besides a healthy community is one that helps me be better as a writer. I make mistakes and screw up, I write FAR too fast some days. it means I overlook things, and get wrapped up in things that I forget others. You guys pointing out logical problems, helps me tighten the text down and fix errors. Also my editing software is a NIGHTMARE, it swaps text order around... it changes entire paragraphs behind my back... and has a nasty habit of editing gay relationships into "Brothers" the amount of times I have had to go back, and rewrite sections that have changed Orel and Finn to brothers with an UNHEALTHY sex life... LOL I swear, I hate computers. It's designed to generate text, not edit it properly... but without an editor I kind of have no choice but to rely on it... so you guys HELP a lot when there are errors to sort out.

Just the knowing look shared by Graves and West. Well crap, this guy just tore me a new one, now it's your turn. We're enemies, but holy hell... no one deserves *that*

Yeah, I am actually reading over the spend/raising figures right now, and it's mind boggling. Harris is interesting to examine, because in the scenario, she has already had her legs cut out from under her by Will. His move to delay accepting the VP nod, and getting the Democrats to do the heavy lifting for his Article Four challenge has done significant damage to the party, Biden's failure at the debate turned what should have been a simple cut, into a mortal wound. It's all a bit GoT at the moment.

This is key, Will can deliver the North, what he needs is someone that can deliver the South. Jared needs to cover the money, and he's got one hell of a job even generating a fraction of the Republican war chest. Money is where the struggle is, we oft underestimate how much money the Republican Party has at it's disposal, its mind blowing the figures that they have at their disposal. It is something to respect, and regard with awe, Republicans are extremely proficient when it comes to money raising.

a sneak peek:

We've all had ENOUGH We're tired

We knew it was coming, but I wanted a moment, one last moment where Will could just be a Dad. Tommy and Jacob are about to a massive amount of growing up facing what's to come. 15 is so very young to face that kind of thing.

Graves *still* thinks he stands a chance with Peter. Peter, again, proving he only ever has eyes for West.

Tomorrow: Will *IS* The Lord of Winter

morning. Will declares for the North. Peter begins a dangerous game

CHAPTER SEVENTEEN: THE MAN IN THE ARENA Location: The Governor’s Private Office, Rideau Hall, Ottawa. Time: May 30, 2024. 17:15 EST. Status: The Verdict. The television on the wall was muted, but the chyron was screaming. TRUMP FOUND GUILTY ON ALL 34 COUNTS. HISTORIC CONVICTION. The bold red letters pulsed against the CNN blue, a digital heartbeat of a republic in ventricular fibrillation. Outside the tall windows, an Ottawa spring evening lay peacefully over the Gat

Oh dear gods I forgot the Many MANY MANY MANY lovers of Alvin the blackwidow of my Falcon Banner books... He's more of a sleep with ya then you're going to die kind of guy so Again, not clearly stated I don't think... Though Kyr I think remarks he is fond of *ahem* how forceful Alvin can be.

i do do quite a few versatile couples: Alec and Hugo take turns, much to Alec's dismay Will and Andrew are known to switch hit. Garrett and Kyle have both taken their turn. Tommy and Jacob are implied that they take alternating turns. Matt and Blake are written as taking turns. Max and Jae are alternators... on the otherside I do traditional couples as well Elias and Theo where Theo's the top which is why he was willing to undergo the examination that saved Elias. Kenny and Steve, Steve is rather fond of the bottom West and Peter is very obvious, I mean, Peter is not subtle about it. out of Marc and Will, Marc was very much the bottom in that pairing. Alvin and Tabby. (Clearly stated that Alvin's the bottom) Kieran and Lee, (note that Riley never quite got that far) Jason and Blake, it's expressed in text that Jason is a top. Caleb is inferred to be a bottom, once you get past all his closeted phobias I also have a lot of ambiguous pairings Matt and Darien I never come out and state. Scott and Luke, while implied subtly that Luke might be the top, I again don't state. Yani and Blake I never got into it, or I might it's been so long... I have a few you haven't met yet Charlie/Aiden, Kellan/Ash Justin/Tim Rade/Shem My point is, I try to give as many different viewpoints on it as I can, and try not to favour one side of the debate or the other. And oh boy I have written a lot of gay boy love stories, I haven't even touched the short stories in that list)

Oliver's been into Finn a while, there was even a point where Orel gave Oliver permission to share Finn.
-
We're coffee buddies
-
Will's sex life just got a whole lot more interesting in the later books
-
that might have been a bit too on the nose for those two LOL I mean they weren't all that subtle as it was
-
I was waiting for some of this Admiral Carter in the uniform that Will approves of... LOL poor Andrew, once he finally get's pounced on by his long lost husband...
-
Oh and Axl Fraser, the Pizzaboy is the subject of the next romantic spell of Orel's... so... :: grins :: he's going to find and fall for someone he never saw coming.

Hey welcome to the fun, I get bored and need breaks, so the comment section is always great fun round here. It helps me figure out what is working, what readers want to see, and let's me pitch out ideas. Love these guys.

LOL Garrett barely gets any work done as it is, he's got a live private Soap Opera of his own to watch. And you know the lads at the Haulage yard are equally invested in the will they/ won't they of Finn and Orel.
