  1. CHAPTER SIXTEEN: THE GOTHIC CATHEDRAL OF WAR Location: St. John’s Harbour, Newfoundland (The Free North). Time: February 2, 2024. 08:00 NST. Status: The Parley. The Narrows of St. John’s was not a harbor entrance; it was a geological ultimatum. A sheer-walled channel of ancient, stubborn rock where the North Atlantic, having crossed three thousand miles of open ocean, made its final, furious attempt to claim the land and was, more often than not, rebuffed. Signal Hill, where Andrew Cart

    Chapter 12

It is safe Tarquin knows. But it is also safe that, in his arrogance, he has no idea of the ramifications to it. It's just further embarrassment as you said. Though it is always nice to think of Tarquin seething and Orel happy.

    Chapter 12

Lydia will tackle the other side of the Patel-Lydia vs Tarquin fight. So that's a few chapters off.

    Chapter 12

This is one of those situations where all Patel needs to do is wait. Tarquin will hang himself with his own rope once she has made sure to box him in. Some times that is the best way to deal with these types, let them think they're winning, then pull the rug out from under them and watch them flail around. All the time showing exactly what kind of person they are. Basically they destroy their case at that point.

    Chapter 12

I just think it's old, and disused... And Orel has more than enough money to get it fixed up, heck he's more than capable of having the thing knocked down and a new one built rather rapidly. I know there are those A frame houses that can go up in an afternoon. I saw a number of them when in Russia, basically a garden shed/cabin thing that could.... hold on... here we go, something like this : https://bunkielife.com/bunkie-cabin/

    Chapter 15

yes indeed, I get it on good writing days, where things just go right... but it can be very draining when I push too hard. I've had a couple of recovery days these past two or three, where my brain has gone... time to rest. I've tried to be stubborn, but it simply says nope, switching off now. i like the poetry of Tommy's art. I hope I capture it with the Worlds, added to tomorrow's chapter.

    Chapter 12

Orel is amazingly fun to write. I am knee deep (12 chapters) into the third Grady book so far, and Orel continues to be a source of inspiration for me.

    Chapter 12

Finn: Orel what are you doing, and why are you upside down? Orel : hold still and hold these eggs I got from the fridge. Finn : Why? Oh OOHHHHHH um Orel that's not how... oh dear...
  19. Topher Lydon

    Chapter 12

I mean, they do... but I think poor Orel trying to fertilize Finn's egg sacks on the ocean floor might go a little sideways... That, quite literally, is um, Isopod mating.

    Chapter 12

That's the idea Ms Patel is working off of. Orel went and got himself a house, and a lease off of his own initiative. He then went out, found a need he could fill, and got a job he is well suited too. It makes Patel's case for her. "No one told him to do these things, he went and did them." It shows that Orel is more than capable of managing his own life, despite Tarquin's proposed narrative. I wouldn't call it luck, I think it's more that Orel is a more than Capable fellow who can problem solve just fine.

    Chapter 12

Yes so very true, all he has to do is ask, but to poor Orel a peck on the cheek "Comfort Protocol" doesn't work out into "Kiss me!" He hasn't quite put two and two together yet. Poor Orel might go pop from the isopod tingles before he works it out. I mean it's not like he's ever asked before, or anyone's thought to explain it to him. All he's running off of is Tarquin's corrupted data, and Orel is not repeating that.

  24. Topher Lydon

    Chapter 12

oh man, poor Orel he hasn't quite worked out that all he needs to do is ask :: chuckles :: He's over engineering a solution in that way of his.
