I think, out of the pair of them, Orel is the one most able to guide them through that. Like he did in the barn.
We are drawn to Orel viewing Finn as his "Safe-thing" but Orel is also Finn's. They compliment each other, as we saw in that scene, all of Finn's fears and trauma, and Orel stands there and redefines it all, and reclaims his Finn. I like that Orel is out to heal Finn, and not the other way around, Orel doesn't need healing, he's just fine as he is and happy. It's Finn who is the most broken of the two, and Orel is going to fix it.
