The Vega Vixen The Falcon Banner

Mickey Ryder is twenty-three, deeply in debt, and the captain of a barely-functioning mail ship held together by salvage tape and bad decisions. When a runaway cult boy named Isaiah hides in his cargo bay, Mickey does the one thing he never does—he says yes. Now they're running from New Eden, hauling mystery cargo, and trying not to kill each other. But between a dead exploration ship, a screaming alien in a crate, and a religious mandate that just dropped a nine-year-old son on his doorstep, Mickey's about to learn that surviving is easy. Living? That's the hard part.

This is a Falcon Banner book, just not a part of the main series. You will see news and fall out from the main series through the book. But this is designed as a spin off story that is not dependent on the other books. it is a STAND ALONE story.

Mickey Ryder cannot get a break running a worn out mail ship. He just does not follow a straight path and shocks others. His taste in women sucks and has left him with children and child support he cannot afford, He runs afoul of the Father and the cult of New Eden by taking in two young male members of the flock . One wants to escape the form of prison he knows he is in and hides aboard Mickey's ship as a stowaway and one who is his si=on and is mandated by a judge to take in. Add a helpful AI named Hughie and a chaos causing gremlin who needs snacks and you have almost certain disaster outcome.

Mickey changes ships when he can to better his lot in life. Eventually he faces three challenges almost at the same time: a bounty hunter, the Father with his fleet and a magnificent crystal spire holding unbelievable power. All three want him or parts of his crew. How he resolves his problems and hopefully prospers and helps his friends will likely fascinate you. Be ready to be entertained.

We join Mickey Ryder, a 23 year old who constantly makes bad decisions.

He is the captain of the Vegan Vixen, a barely functioning mail ship.

When a cult boy named Isaiah, becomes a stowaway on Mickey's ship.

Mickey makes an unusual decision and allows him to stay.

Now they are running from New Eden, dealing with a religious culture, a four legged alien and his 9 year old son, who was just dropped off at his ship.

Let's follow this bunch of misfits, as they travel the galaxy, making mistakes and unwise decisions.

Give it a read, you will not be disappointed.

The Vega Vixen is a crazy, mixed-up adventure led by Captain Mickey Ryder, a lone wolf practiced in fighting, running, and bad decisions. Then, he meets a runaway cult boy, and soon after, an alien in a crate. What could possibly go wrong?

Follow along for action, tense scenes, and countless laughs.

Mickey Ryder is very young, quite lazy, makes snap decisions which are typically bad. He delivers mail and ends up with a stowaway on board, he decides to let him stay and they begin a truly unique and hilariously funny adventure together. You will absolutely enjoy this novel! There’s a unique cast of characters, enough plot twists and turns to keep you entertained until the end of the novel. The writer is a genius and you will be addicted to his novels going forward! 👏❤️😃
