I can't remember most of what happened while I was healing. I assume that I slept the majority of the time. I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter. Maybe I can sort a few things out for you (if you don't want to know these things, don't read ahead. They aren't spoilers to the story, just more information about the Adjusting universe). First of all, while John is still alive and alpha of his pack, Brian is still an Alpha wolf - he was born as one. He doesn't own a pack of his own right now, but he's still an alpha wolf. The wolves in this story find love a lot like humans - some believe it is fate and they have a soul mate, while others believe they just fall in love. But, no, there are no "mates" as in "ohmygoshijustmetyouandiloveyouletshaveeightbabiesandbehapyforever". Of course, they can stil find someone they love and settle down with. And, of course, they have religion too - so, some do believe they have one wolf they are "destined" to be with. I don't know who "jas" is, and the other questions you have I plan to answer in the chapters to come hope this helped!
