A long and rewarding journey. Well done. None of the characters were perfect--which made them real. Which made their struggles and successes more heartfelt.

Well, I knew eric was up to no good. At this point, I think Ren and jonah are better off apart. They both made mistakes and hopefully will learn from it and move on. Oddly enough I think Sandro can do better for himself...but it is what it is. But he's good for jonah, right now.

Great chapter! But so sad....what's going to happen to them without the treatment. Also, something smells funny about that guy turning. Clearly, the boys didn't infect him...so how did he get it? This is just so sad for everyone....no one gave them the benefit of the doubt.

I'm surprised that he wants to leave Kim considering how he just saved him. I hope he realizes that this is another chance. Those scientists clearly don't know everything about mods. really enjoying this story. An Xmas story in February is lovely.

No worries on the gap between postings. It's a crazy time for everyone! Also the gap has helped me get a bit of perspective here...I think. ok, my thoughts such as they are. I understand that jonah being Jonah is a big part of the story and its charm. But I find myself getting frustrated with him. He seems so keen on being the victim, the man done wrong, etc that he gets lost in his own head. He's very self-indulgent to the point that Matteo's word don't go beyond HIM. I mean if Matteo is remotely right, how must ren feel. His lover has abandoned him without one word. Who does that?! He didn't catch ren screwing eric or something...but ren loves eric. He jumped to that and is now contemplating rebound relationships. Jonah isn't as charming now...I think. Or maybe I've spent too much time with family and am just cranky.

Using a chef's knife to cut hair...I applaud Matteo's restraint. Well, I don't know. Matteo raised very valid points that Jonah should have considered already. I also think that if this involved anybody but eric...that Chris and michael would've been a bit calmer too. Very frustrating!! Call him already!! To hell with it, release the Rick on eric! Have ren get a mike Tyson face tattoo as penance for not kicking eric to the curb ( remember left over sushi rule), Jonah becomes a fashion model with Sandro as his agent, Chris becomes a reality tv matchmaker and michael starts a travel service catering to rebounding gay lovers. The end! Pass the cocktails....and aspirin.

It's amazing how much people share with strangers. There's a reason I call going to my fave bar--going to church. Very poignant. But where are you going with this, my scribe? Very curious.

Cheating asshole versus a suicidal idiot. Classic! Luv it! I also luv Rick...a diva after my own black heart. He out did Jonah. Thank god the mad hatter pulled jonah away before he got into a bigger mess. maybe he needs to be in Sicily, other than dinner parties with blood test and cheating guests (but an awesome buffet)--it might be best for him. He seems to have cemented his verdict on Ren, and maybe he needs Mamma Rick. I want Rick to meet Eric. I can see it now...drama, cop lights and Matteo getting bail money at 3 in the morning.

Lots of detail here. Dimitri's reaction to drugs and the marina really stayed with me. So whose really dirty here? Dimitri, Lucian, ken.... the waiter? A good read....

Ok, I'm turning tables in that restuarant if I'm Jonah. But keeping eric around as a friend...bad move, ren. Sushi and manipulators aren't good the next day. hmm....michael and Chris. Everyone meeting at the same restaurant. And people getting your ass to Sicily ASAP. Sounds too convenient and...honey, I lived with drag queens! They weren't that damn coordinated. Something is off...yes, a betrayal. But by who? On another note, wonderful writing. Succinct but gave a good insight into a building relationship. Now fix this mess!

Ok, I read all of the chapters in one sitting and am caught up. I don't agree with the logic of childes not having mates. They live just as long as all the other vamps and would need the comfort of a mate. Fate isn't cruel like that. wonderful blend of characters. However, I think lovel is losing out though. He doesn't have a lot of dialogue lately. He needs to remind us why he's alpha. and Marcus sounds dirty.

This is turning into a classic noir romance! Kudos to you! Nice mix of romance and hints at the leads' backgrounds. Makes the reader want to know more. And I like how the secondary characters add layers...looking forward to more.

Chapter showed why they work together. I know the next chapter will break jonah's heart. I must say, I think eric has some nerve calling ren. But at least everyone knows where he's coming from. The thing that stays with me was his enjoying jonah's pain when he would hook up with other guys. And the fact that he cheated when they were together. Now Jonah may finally move on with ren....and he wants to manipulate that. i think that is why ren's laser focus works for Jonah. There isn't any doubt that ren wants Jonah and isn't flighty about it like eric. But he's in Sicily so something went wrong in a really bad way.

Secrets seem to be getting a lot of people killed, rather senseless. I mean to kill the investigating officers doesn't make sense, especially when cooper is still working the case. Something like that usually brings in state police and the FBI, why do that and get even more attention? all these people dying, all linked to some corporation. To easy for people to dig. I'd expect them to get some scapegoat...jealous colleague killing his peers, just to get people off their back. I can't imagine jaxton's answers to cooper flying with two dead investigating officers.

Ok I'm hooked. Like the dynamics between the leads. You can do a lot with a corrupt ex mayor...

Okay I am very intrigued here! Please continue. Very promising start...

Wow, eric was a bigger ass than I thought! Thank you for a wonderful chapter....threw a party last night and gurl can't hang like she used to. This was just what I needed. So sweet and natural. I really am going to be so bummed when we find out why his eyes are sad and his ass is in Sicily. And I really hope you publish this....go team ren. Now for aspirin and lots of fluids. What was I thinking?!

Hmmm. Eric went through a lot of trouble "matching" Ren and Jonah. However, what was the point in putting rum in ren's drink. What outcome did he want? Booze makes for very unpredictable behavior. As for Ren being too controlling, I don't see it that way. He seems more protective or coddling--is that a word. Remember how he took care of ren when he ran himself to exhaustion. The control freak is eric! As for Chris, he knew eric was a player and a cheater. Who hurt his friend!! Make it a life lesson, honey!

I have never tolerated a man toying with my emotions like I am with you! You leave me with two situations. The fiasco in Sicily (which I would never recommend. Those people can hold a grudge.). And then the kiss with ren. A little edit note, if there is chemistry here, I think you could have emoted a bit here. You know, break out those passion-filled adjectives, to bring it on home. Otherwise, I think your transitions from past to present in Sicily was much cleaner here. Lovely chapter dear.

Again, I repeat sequel for michael. Okay, normally I'm all for a hot italian hat maker, but not now! Ren has paid his dues for our little diva. Now I loved michael nicely reading Jonah the riot's act. He is more of a friend than Chris who has been missing in action as a best friend. Nice clarification on who was beating the door down--ren not eric. Again though why is eric getting all up in this...what's his angle? Neither he or Chris have been that sensitive to jonah's feelings. Gotta be guilt!

I agree with irritable1, michael was charming and funny. Would love to see him happy, too. Hint: this is sequel material. Great chapter! Whats up with eric pounding on the door!?! Shouldn't he be with his love, Chris? And poor ren, his heart must be breaking! Want to smack Jonah on the head! That man has some serious groveling in his future. Okay, hurry up with the next chapter, sweetie.

Hey. Who's mark? The ex's name is Eric. I think it got swapped and really threw me off. I did like the chapter though. The symbolism was so witty. Ren is so Machiavellian. I love it. Jonah needs a keeper and someone who isn't intimidated by his drama queen act. This could be interesting....I still think eric plays too much on his mind.

Ok, I'm starting to get into the book. I think I was initially distracted by my dislike of Chris' and Eric's gall and insensitivity. I really dislike them!! But I'm now caught up in the story's good pacing and charm. But note I still want to b!tch slap Chris and eric...just saying.

So much angst in that family. It's interesting that Boris and oli communicate better than oli and his father. i think it is due to Alexander's perception on being wolves more than anything. I think as oli grew it made what is a man and what is a strong wolf a bigger issue. I think alexander is also lonely, I mean they don't have a real pack..hence oli trying to get rank versus the family pet! Geez...join a werewolf support chat room or something.

I wonder what happened to yuri's brother and mate. Why did the brothers's mate attack yuri and Benny? What happened to Benny's parents and yuri's mother--I mean the whole, now I have both my sons back, creepy. So, not an ideal ending as it is........
