    Haha! Thanks Drew! After reading some neat short stories in answer to prompts I was perusing the prompt section and found this with no stories, poor thing, so I thought I'd give it a go.

    It was silly actually. Just a spur of the moment thing. In reality I was only on the ESP website to research some details for a pretty insignificant part of a story I was writing. But as a rule, I don’t like to get caught with any factual errors.     A good chapter MrM! I know we're all dying to have this story start to intersect with Billy's, but as you continue to write, it's more obvious that we need Brandon fleshed out. It's really one of the small weaknesses of "Billy" where Brandon is sort of two dimensional, for someone so obviously all-important in Billy's life. Good job ...and I'm anticipating Ch. 5!

    After our run and shower, it was shirt and tie time. Coach always insists the team dress on XCountry race days. I decided on a black shirt and red tie. It looked sharp!     Sanctuary or Sanctuaries? Either one, a great chapter CG! Of course, I'm always grateful for more Benny But the two non-J&M couples are moving together so nicely, each with one over-thinker ...hehe. I know you claimed not to plan ahead, but there's a parallel, at this moment, which was made more striking by occurring in one beautiful chapter. Thanks for giving this to us CG!!

    writing a review is sort of like being an author in a way you can delve into the psyche of the characters you can speculate about future arcs of the story you really have all this creative potential in front of you. similarly, when responding to reviews I try to get into the head of the reviewer assuage their concerns or heighten them hint at what might be approaching re their comments always appearing grateful ...because I am!! I enjoy this topic because I'm learning so much!

    Good points Parker, and thanks for the comments! A lot of stuff seems to be outside David's experience, hehe. As for the deus ex machina, well yes ...but then there is that nasty law of unintended consequences

    Thanks CG! Yeah, I agree with some of your points here and wonder if maybe he would have handled the Kathy thing differently were he not feeling swamped by these other things going on. It'll be interesting to see if he manages to divide and conquer his emotional problems, or if ...ugh I don't even want to think about how bad it could get for him!

    A great story and it leaves the reader trying to put a label on Jason. It's perfect as it is. I sorta disagree with Zarek & Puppilull though. Don't you dare add to it!

    Thanks Defiance for the great comments. You anticipate so well what's on tap. I should just give you the pen ...haha. Twoey's mom's a shrink and I think she's always known how screwed up David is; "fragile" I think was her word. She bears watching.

    Thanks Parker. I don't think David is anywhere near that kind of thought. He just seems to be operating in a different reality. It would probably take some kind of traumatic event to make him recalculate. But unfortunately he lives such a boring life.
