  1. I'm here! At least when I'm not drawing a new thumbnail
  2. Hey thanks for reading CLS! I've been to California about 10 times, at least, and I never heard it ever called Cali either. I must have picked that up from something I read. And I'll fix it!!! My now departed aunt would have lynched anybody who called her city "Frisco" so I know the rub! Thanks again for the time!

    Catastrophe

Maybe the worst part of the physical discomfort I felt in this chapter were is last words "there's more" Can Stefan take any more? Can I survive any more? I'm giving this chapter a 'like' but I hope you realize that doesn't imply I liked what happened. This was all beautifully described, Parker. Especially as Stefan's feeling of being saved slowly dissolved into the realization he'd been sacrificed.
  4. Thanks Parker! Twoey does seem to have had a sh*tload of info dumped on him. He might need some time to digest it all. David ...yeah. I'm even starting to worry about him. Great insight as always, thanks.
  5. Thanks for the great review CG! Hehe ...how did I sorta know you were going to be 'disappointed' with David in this chapter? Twoey works fast! In only 3 weeks he's discovered almost the whole gay community. Or did they discover him?
  6. My dad must’ve won. I'm allowed to run again! Also, as Tommy said, I’m allowed to take Kathy to the movies, but can't spend the whole day with her ...whew. I'm supposed to stay home and catch up on school work. Well, I have no problem with that. Especially since all the work is done. “We lost the race yesterday dumbass! We'd have won if you were there. Keep your hands in your pockets from now on!” I really felt bad, but Gary had a little smirk on his face when he said the last part. “Um Gary,
  7. Well Comsie, since this is the first new chapter in like 20 years or so I found myself rereading from chapter 1 to refresh my memory of all the details. I'm about halfway through, so I won't get to the new chapter for another day or so. But (blush) it's just as tense reading these, all over again!
  8. Yep. Stefan's world is alien to most people ...thank goodness! The girl. Hmmm. Could be what he suspects, or maybe not. Although it's difficult to see her type suddenly believing an emaciated, poorly dressed recluse is cute. But then, I guess her world is alien to me so, what do I know? Parker, you managed to make a downer of a chapter suddenly interesting! Great job!!
  9. Nah! You guys are all wrong. Will doesn't make mistakes. OMG did I actually say that? Hahahahahahahahaha

    Tragedy

Thanks Defiance! OMG I would love to have seen that!! You know, I often wondered if my mother's parakeet could read. It seemed to have a fondness for Ray Bradbury. Or maybe it was my mother did.

    Tragedy

A cat for Ian! Wonderful thought Parker. Maybe we need a contest. Probably not a needy cat ...haha!

    Tragedy

Ian thanks you for the advice CG! I'm not sure how long my mother's parakeet lived. I just know it died on Easter Sunday. We never had cats or dogs in my house. But my best friend had an 'Old Yeller'. Tyke was Donny's dog, but I was Tyke's boy. We grew up together too.

    Chapter 1

Oh Gee Wow, Gee! What a great little story. Every minute of it. So well written as it propelled us forward to the inevitable conclusion. And I don't even like Zombie stories!

    Crisis

Hey Gary, thanks so much! I'm glad you found these. They're fun to write, attempting to make the unrelated scenes define the characters.

    Tragedy

Haha ...you're right Lisa! Ian needs a statue of a dog for a pet.

    Tragedy

Thanks AC! This one was fun to write because my mother had a parakeet that perched on her martini every night, took one sip, ruffled its tail feathers, and then flew to perch on the book she was reading! It's etched in my mind.

    Tragedy

Miles dropped the Saturday crossword when he heard a scream. Turning toward the archway he began to rise. “Miles come in here! Come in here right now!” Entering the kitchen his gaze fell upon Ian, who was sobbing and pointing. “Tweetles is dead! I can’t believe it! Miles, I can’t cope. Take care of it ...please!” As Miles wrapped the tiny body, using paper from the bottom its cage, Ian lamented. “He was always so adorable perched on the rim of my glass, drinking from my Cosmo every night. And
  18. Thanks for your understanding comments Defiance! I think, aside from stupid-cupid, the week was really good for David. It gave him much needed time to reflect and reassess everything ...except for Kathygate, of course.

    Noticed

Well things just seem to be getting worse every day for Stefan. You portrayed this very well , Parker, because you captured Stefan not thinking things are getting worse, only more of the same. Which definitely is worse! Hopefully there's a tiny light ahead, unless you're gonna torture us for a few more chapters. Can't wait!
  20. A Great review with enticing possibilities Lisa! Even though his script was 'out the window' maybe all the thinking David did during the week made him understand a bit of what was going on inside him. Hence the heartfelt apology. "Dear psychologist, I'm in love with your son." Talk about awkward!
  21. Thanks again Lisa! Twoey becoming a slut's a bit harsh. Maybe he's just becoming everybody's plaything. Ouch! That sounds even worse. Yikes! You don't think David would actually strike Kathy, do you?
  22. Thanks for the wonderful comments Lisa. No condom ...more about that later. This week is both good and bad for David. He finally has the time to process some stuff, good. He isn't physically allowed to be where he needs to be to protect himself from the meddlers, bad. ;(
  23. I couldn't find it! jk ...couldn't resist it's '404' Can't wait for '420' Comsie! You have me all worried about Jimmy. Take care of him!!
  24. Thanks for your usual great insight Parker. You may be correct with each option you offer. Clearly he has another milestone approaching this weekend. Hopefully he'll use that experience to take stock.
  25. Thanks for the great review CG! It's a good thing you thought of Twoey taking that tack with Kathy and not Twoey! It would have made for a bunch of uninteresting chapters ahead. About David and the upcoming date Saturday: we've found a blinds spot in our little hero, but then he isn't aware of the behind-the-scenes machinations going on.
