Sounds absolutely delicious.

I like their meatballs (who doesn’t like Swedish meatball, eh?), but what I love is their coleslaw. I haven’t been there for a while, but just thinking about this now has me missing Sears - my sofa, chair, ottoman, TV stand, breakfast bar counter stools, my bed, and three shelving units are from there. *sigh*

I read a lot of self-published stories, so I know they do work. Amazon is my usual source, but that’s only because I like the way the stories can be formatted on my Kindle. Some are free and some I pay for. I even “follow” some authors because I like what they write, so I like to watch out for new releases. As for the convo with your mom, you’re very brave, Thorn. My mom would probably be the same with some of the things I like or the way I think, so I avoid conversations when I know she’s going to be tone-deaf about it.

Good morning everyone. Got some things to take care of, so I’ll be in and out. @Mikiesboy I checked the weather report after reading your post about possible freezing rain. Even though it’s going to be cold (1 or 2C) I didn’t see a 0 or a minus sign anywhere for today. Fingers crossed that means no freezing rain. That said, it’s going to be cold with a high probability of rain, so take care if/when you’re out and about today.

I still have the pic somewhere in my collection of accumulated stuff from my teen years. I opened the front door of my house and what a sight I encountered. On the far side of the road was a family of Canada Geese. One parent at the front with the other bringing up the rear. In between them were three or four baby geese (can’t recall how many) They were just walking down the road - heading to the lake from wherever their nest had been was our guess. This was somewhat confirmed by the mail carrier who had seen this family in transit as well. They only had a couple blocks left to go, but I have always wondered how they knew when to turn the corner and head in the correct direction. Internal GPS, perhaps? Im going to my parents this weekend, if I can find the pic, I’ll try and post a copy of it, here.
