  5. Considering you had to get used to how your new higher level of Word worked when you got your new laptop, it’s not surprising the default settings thing took a backseat to all that “fun” - yes, I remember your posts about all the “fun” you were having. As yesterday being for squirrel appreciation day? Nope, didn’t hear a peep about that. Yes, the timing does seem a little odd. Maybe, I’ll ask Mr. Google and see what he says. Have be a good day everyone....
  6. Good night molly...happy dreams PS: Love the quote. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if that were true?

  9. oh timothy... (said that out loud after I laffed.. sorry, not sorry ). There are many defaults you can change in Word. Course, I’m older and have been using it a lot longer than you, so there is that.
  10. I’ll read your example of this tonight when I have more time, until then I’m going to try and curb my coughing *sigh*
  11. Glad to hear your test results were good, and here’s to a change of scene to distract you from your ills. Fingers crossed all your customers will be kind and/or rationale.

    Tanka

I can just see them all staring up at you with one thought - “yeah, so?”
  13. Good afternoon everyone... Its bloody cold today (-16C/3F but feels like -27C/-17F so says the Weather Network ) Thank goodness it’s sunny... @Mikiesboy I hope your doctor visit went well and that you don’t have to go out again. As for the rest of you, have a great day...
  14. Good night @Defiance19 and @Thorn Wilde happy dreams to you both. My turn to say good night, and for those of you still awake, the sweetest of happy dreams when your time comes....

    Tanka

I love the final line in the first Tanka. I understand the strength and power of the cold, but it’s got nothing on the warmth of the one who loves you. As for for number two? I remember the last time I read about this confident little bird. I enjoyed the vision invoked then as I enjoy it now. Well done, Mike.

    Meeting Max

The rock is Louis’ rock literally and figuratively, isn’t it? Course, he sits on it in this case, rather than lean on it to absorb its strength.
  17. Good afternoon everyone and have a great day...

    Meeting Max

Well, the visit with Max went better than I had envisioned, so yay! As has already been said, the feelings and actions of all involved, and maybe especially Louis’s trepidation at caring for a disabled teen, ring as true to how this situation would unfold in “real life”. I’m really enjoying this new chapter (not surprised in the least) in the lives of Don and Louis. They certainly didn’t foresee or plan for this life, but they’re doing an admirable job of keeping it real and managing their new normal in a constructive and supportive manner - for all involved. PS: I remembered Louis’ rock from book one. Nice to see this place of comfort make an appearance.

    Tanka

tim, you already know I don’t know a Tanka from a Limerick, but I know when words please me. I like the third one, because it starts out gloomy, but ends on such a happy, satisfying note with the beauty of fresh fallen snow hugging the trees. As for the cardinal? There’s just something about this bright red bird that delights everyone. Really like these, tim. Yes, even the not so cheery ones. As always, nicely done.
  20. Was going to this, but I changed my mind because the cookie bit made me laugh.
  21. The achy throat monster has found me, because I woke up before five with one, and I’m tired and coughing, too. Staying home, I think... PS: It’s too bad about the party.
