  1. So much to look forward, but remember no pressure, always go at your own chosen speed.
  2. Yes, they do. I like making it in the skillet, because you don’t have to wait for the water to boil. It takes about 10 minutes. I wing it and add water as needed or drain it with a colander if there’s too much water. Sauce/butter is mixed in the skillet, too. Nice and easy clean up.
  3. It’s actually called half-cut not half size https://www.barilla.com/en-us/products/pasta/pronto/pronto-half-cut-spaghetti
  4. I made half size spaghetti with butter, garlic and parmesan for dinner tonight. It was yummy! :
  5. I almost had that a couple of days ago, because it’s wonderful comfort food on a cold night. I’m sure I will have it sometime in January.
  6. There are only two vegans - one is the hostess - and with her daughter (my SiL) and my brother there, the non-vegan cooking will be handled. Interesting to note, the hostess ate the salmon she cooked last Christmas dinner or the one the year before (can’t remember which), so she must be a relatively new convert.
  7. Good night tim...sweet dreamz tonight and always xoxo
  8. Good night molly...happy dreams
  9. Good night Def...happy dreams
  10. It is, and I am so looking forward to having it on Christmas Eve. Oh, and I have been informed that the non-vegans will be having quail for Christmas dinner. Never had that...I wonder, do they taste like chicken?
  11. Mike, that you bring this much joy, peace, and contentment to tim makes me happy. Heck, I’m happy for you both, because you’re both really good souls, and I’m really glad you found each other.
  12. Miracle on 34th Street (the 1947 version) is my absolute favourite Christmas movie.
  13. I like your attitude, Thorn. I shall endeavour to follow it.
  14. I usually don’t eat much lunch before dinners like this, but we’ll have Chinese food left over from Christmas Eve, so I think I’ll have a plateful. As for what we’ll have for dinner, I don’t have a clue. Really not looking forward to this. *sigh*
  15. Good afternoon denizens of the DIC! I wish you all a great day. As for me, found out last night the Christmas Day dinner I’ve been invited to - and previously accepted - will be Vegan
  16. Good night tim...sweet dreamz tonight and always xoxo
  17. Good night Thorn...happy dreams and have fun Christmas shopping
  18. They have a bunch of stuff on the balcony that’s not allowed to be there (patio type furnishings/plants are all that is allowed) that goes way above the top of the railing, so it’s very visible. and looks like crap Have to admit though, it’s not as bad as the building next to me where someone has a clothesline hanging across the balcony. What’s weird about that is the laundry was hung out on a very, very cold day. I would think it froze rather than dried.
  19. That may be so for apartment buildings, but with condos, you have to deal with the Property Manager. Currently, there’s a renter breaking the rules in my building and this has been going on since June. He/she has been ignoring notices from the PM and the owner of the unit. The PM told me she’ll bring this up with the building’s condo board come January (there’s a process to go through). The PM - she’s new since October, and the previous PM did crap all to solve the problem - said the board can decide to pursue this further lawyer time which means spending money - or let it go. I’m hoping they go the lawyer route...
  20. The door knocker does seem a little weird, considering they’re usually metal.
