    Okay, that was pretty stupid. It made no sense why he backed out the way he did to go in the opposite direction--hitting a car in the process. Hope the person who videoed this handed over a copy to the owner of that red car to make sure the person paid for the damages.

    Thank you. While Kayden is better and healing, he'll never be totally free of his past abuse. And yeah, I wouldn't cut down the tree; Kayden does need it as a refuge.

    I wouldn't cut down the tree, because, you are all right, Kayden does need his safe place. It's just Arnett being a little annoyed, that's all. He's not really angry, and I think he understands that Kayden kinda needs the tree.

    THANK YOU so much for all your wonderful, insightful reviews of this story! I have enjoyed reading them so much. I'm glad that you enjoyed it even if it wasn't a genre that you would normally read. Kayden definitely grew and changed throughout this story, which will make his character a little more confident and, hopefully, more dynamic in the next story.
