When Jason agreed to basically babysit his friend's step-brother, he knew the kid was a temperamental brat--I mean, Brad had told him that the kid had even tried to kill him, so the hateful attitude didn't surprise him. It's funny that you mention about Damien finally finding out about what Roman did to Kayden... In the first draft, I actually did not have Damien knowing, but so many reviewers kept asking: 'when is Damien going find out', 'wait til Damien finds out what Roman did', 'kayden needs to tell Damien', so I ended up editing it. I think Damien finding out from Roman was more effective, because I don't think Kayden would ever say without directly being asked. I'm so glad you enjoyed my story! Thank you for your review!

(Sorry, it took me a while to get back to replying to reviews, just been busy over the last week that all I really had time to do was come and post, since I didn't want to keep people waiting for the end. Even if some of you knew what was going to happen!) Thank you so much for all your reviews. It's comments like yours that inspire me to want to write a sequel, which honestly was not even thought about when I first wrote it. I'll have to consider writing a series of oneshots with Kayden; hmm, that might be interesting...

I'm so glad that you liked it. I'm always a little nervous when I put a story out there, and this was my first m/m romance, so it was even more nerve-wracking. (Previously, I wrote teen/young adult stories that I've published on Amazon). Now, I just hope I can live up to the expectations I've obviously set with this one! Thank you so much.

I'm glad you thought that it was worth your time to re-read! I know sometimes once you know what's going to happen in a story it may not seem like it's worth re-reading.
