Chapter 20 What the hell is wrong with him today? Devyn wondered as he looked over at Jason as they walked to his SUV. The huge man seemed nervous, jittery. God, he hoped the man didn't do anything stupid. Devyn slung the backpack on the floor of the Ford as he climbed in, careful of his sore body. Yep, Brad arranged the car 'accident' that killed Devyn's mom as well as his own dad. Devyn survived the car accident, which Brad was probably upset at first about before he found Devyn could be 'useful' to him. Hope you are enjoying the intense ride! Thanks for reviewing.

Wow, I think I held my breath the whole time I was reading it. And now I can breathe... I like to think that he was saved and survived being rescued by his lover or friends, but obviously it can go either way, and I love that it leaves so much up to the reader to interpret. Great job!

I loved this story. After reading Weeping Lily, I had to read more of your works. There is always something a little chilling and enticing about your works that keep me on edge. I couldn't stop reading it until I was done, it was so good. (And when I read on my tablet, I hate typing on the on-screen keyboard so I don't stop to think to review then. I need to get better at that!) But thank you so much for writing such a great story. It really makes you not want to go to sleep!

Roman, a carebear, huh? Hehe, that certainly tells you just how bad Brad is! And I don't have Brad with cameras all over the house, mostly because I feel that his character is so confident in his control over the people in his house that he doesn't need them. In the story's time frame, it is Monday, and basically time is running really short for Jason to do something now, especially since Devyn has another 'tutor' to go to 'tomorrow' morning.Hope you enjoy the next few chapters--they are going to be a little intense!

Wow, what a review! Thank you! I think you have a good read on things so far. It's funny about Kieran's name, though; it's actually because I read a story recently on Fiction Press called Anything (which is actually a slave fic) and I just liked the name, and not from Redemption's a Bitch. I have that story marked to read but I haven't read it yet, so that is really funny. I'll have to read that story next! And I haven't really indicated whether Kieran is being taken care of by a doctor under Brad's control, but I think it can be inferred that if Kieran were to awaken from his coma that Brad would probably not let him talk to anyone.I hope you enjoy the rest of the story

True, but Jason also thinks the locked door was to keep Devyn from coming in and harming Brad, and since he hasn't seen it used, he's pretty much probably forgotten about the connecting door. But he's getting there... Thanks for reviewing, hope you enjoy!
