    My nephew's cat was desexed this week and she has not really adapted to wearing the collar of shame. Banging into walls and other obstacles

    A selection of Vietnamese dishes for birthday lunch - they have a great restaurant in town. Even better it was followed by honey dumplings using my grandmother's recipe. So good, so rich, such a great birthday treat

    Thanks Man The drive down will be done at a slow and steady pace - there are a number of places I stop on the way to pick up treats such as the road-side stall that sells savory cheese biscuits just like my grandmother used to make. And I must remember to keep the bag containing pastry treats off the ground when I get to my sister's. Her young dog helped himself to the last lot I took there. Discovered, eaten and paper bags left on the driveway in seconds

    I survived It missed me but I could hear the storm around the place. Some areas got hit with fallen trees and some flash floods. I was quite nervous as I got a lot of warning text messages
