  1. @Headstall Congrats on the new story
  2. You must have been hungry, usually we get to see the full plate
  3. Showers today - no plans to go outside but maybe I will be lucky. Keeping fingers crossed How about you? The news about your friend will take a bit of getting used to
  4. Doing ok but I didn’t get the one day of good weather I was promised Clo kept the sunshine and the cloud cover was almost claustrophobic Sorry to hear about your friend
  5. Very simple but so delicious
  6. It’s good the mystery is solved… although it is unusual for authors to release spoilers for their future ghost stories
  7. Not stolen, only borrowed for a single day August is the wettest month here so I am expecting some damp weather ahead
  8. Work life balance is important
  9. I'm back home so it will be a bit warmer for me. 24C here tomorrow but then dropping to under 20C for the rest of the week. It was really chilly at my sister's place. The nights got down to -1C and fog lasted until late morning
  10. I have sent you the version with “double the syrup” the way my grandmother made it. You can serve it with thickened cream or ice cream - my sister and I both vote for vanilla ice cream
  11. Hello everyone I hope you day was full of honey dumplings
  12. Hello young Albert How are you and Steve?
  13. Hello Man How is life treating you?
  14. My nephew's cat was desexed this week and she has not really adapted to wearing the collar of shame. Banging into walls and other obstacles
  15. A selection of Vietnamese dishes for birthday lunch - they have a great restaurant in town. Even better it was followed by honey dumplings using my grandmother's recipe. So good, so rich, such a great birthday treat
  16. Thanks Man The drive down will be done at a slow and steady pace - there are a number of places I stop on the way to pick up treats such as the road-side stall that sells savory cheese biscuits just like my grandmother used to make. And I must remember to keep the bag containing pastry treats off the ground when I get to my sister's. Her young dog helped himself to the last lot I took there. Discovered, eaten and paper bags left on the driveway in seconds
  17. It should be fun - a 3 hour drive but it’s good to catch up
  18. Thanks Albert I'm heading down south to see my sister and enjoy honey dumplings (my grandmother's recipe).
