    I remember my folks and their friends in their 40s and beyond… some became old people almost overnight. My folks didn’t, they just got older year by year. I thought it was really weird that some aged 10 or 20 years in only one or two. Mum died at 63, still young, wanting an extra year of income before retiring. She never got to retire My grandmother lived independently til her 90s. She would walk to the shops in the morning and a “nice young man” would deliver her groceries in the afternoon. Turns out he was in his 50s
