    Chapter 8

All's well mow that Mattie and Dylan have been rescued. It was too bad that Diego's father was in on the kidnapping, but at least Diego has a place to go. I know that this is probably jumping ahead, but Diego and Erik might make an interesting couple.

    Chapter 1

Glad to see that the next book in the "Riding Lessons" series is getting stated. I do hope that Dylan is going to be alright. I also hope that TJ isn't jerking Devon's chain. After being such a pin in the ass to the rest of he boys, it's hard to believe that TJ has turned into a nice guy. The leopard just doesn't chage his spots.

    Chapter 9

Riley's pregnant?!? Oh, my! If Travis doesn't freak out, he's got more inner strength than most teenagers, or most adults for that matter. It also makes me wonder what else Riley is capable of. The problem for Travis is how to deal with Riley's pregnancy as well as trying to find a way to get Jesse back. BTW, I wouldn't put it passed Zane to still be the traitor.

    Chapter 5

Interesting turn of events. How does the Admiral know of Travis? What did happen to Travis' parents? As much money as was in their account, could foul play have been involved in their disappearance? Looking forward to answers to these questions and more in future.

    Chapter 16

Well, at least we know that the evil uncle wasn't behind Zak's problems with Zephyr. It sounds like Zak has a concussion, maybe a severe one. All because Zephyr's in heat! Looking forward to the next chapter to find out what's wrong with Zak.

    Chapter 15

Nice cliffhanger. I wonder if the evil uncle has begun to carry out his plans, even if he got Zak instead of Mattie or CJ. I hope that Tanner can move on now that he's gotten a load off his chest, even if he's hopelessly straight.

    Chapter 1

I agree with Rebel. It was an interesting chapter. I am hoping that you explain how Devin ended up in the asylum. Also, is Neto going to change Yoshua for his new Master (Devin?)?

    Turning Corners

I liked the way that the storyline developed in this chapter. Jon seems to have decided to becomme friendly with Peter. It could become interesting if Peter is gay, it could lead to a interesting relationship. Now Simon, on the other hand, is going to be more of a challenge. They didn't exactly hit it off. Simon's saving grace might be that he is Peter's brother and Jon will not risk Peter's friendship just because he can't get along with Simon. I'm looking forward to the Friday night visit by Peter, Simon and their mother.
  9. There's another one that's been done by the same guys as "Our Land" entitled "Good To Be In DC." It's just as funny as "Our Land" and slams both sides. Take a look. It's located at JibJab.com .

    Wow

Sometimes you wonder how such a man attained a position of such importance! Or whether someone built a time machine and brought this relic forward in time. Of course, next he'll accuse gay men of being warlocks. Now if only that were true! We wish! (In truth most would probably practice white magic, not the black magik that is usually meant.)
  11. Happy Birthday atheist! And have may you have many more! :king:
  12. At least the dog has good taste!
  13. The quotation from Leviticus should be understood as reflecting the times during which it was written. What was being emphasized was that the Israelites were a relatively small group of people who were under constant threat of being overrun and absorbed by the nations that surrounded them, such as the Egyptiams, the Philistines, the Amalekites and others. One of the ways to protect themselves was to follow God's injunction to "increase and multiply," something that is kind of hard if the population is engaged in same sex relationships. If you think the way that the Israelites of the times were thinking, it becomes easier to understand. What they wanted were babies, particularly male babies, that could grow up to defend the nation. The more the better. I would think that this injunction, like the others quoted in the open letter to Dr. Laura, can safely be ignored. It, and they, simply doesn't reflect the reality of modern times, and the needs of the various diverse people who live on this planet. :2hands:

  15. I have absolutely no problem with a blue skin. However, if forced to choose another color, it would be either purple or green.
  16. While I can understand your reaction, even if you knew what was going on, I agree what the two previous posters, Navigator and bwstories8. You made a mistake with your nephew. He probably feels that you either don't care about him; can't answer his question; or are scared of driving him away. I would first apologize to him for reacting the way you did and explain what your reasoning was for doing what you did. Then, sit him down and explain what homosexual means; how alot of the information about gays he gets from his friends may be distorted; and how you feel about the subject. I think that you'll find your nephew will be accepting of what you tell him, and that if he has any further questions that he can come to you for the answers on this and any other topic. Tell him that you're always willing to lend a sympathic ear on whatever subject he wants to talk about
  17. To tell the truth, as a reader, I've always found it somewhat confusing to go back and forth between points of view within the space of a paragraph or two unless it's set off by some sort of dividing line (asterisks, dashes, etc.). When I'm writing, I usually have tried to give each person's point of view a chapter of its own ala "Kelly's View" from the series "Kelly's Problem", or when Comicality wrote a chapter of "New Kid" from Ryan's point of view so as not to confuse the reader too much. I suppose that what really confuses me is when a writer not only jumps between points of view but also tries to jump between times in a story as I've seen a couple of authors do. The best thing I can say is to give the author feedback. Especially if he is jumping between character's points of view inside a chapter. Sometimes it can be done effectively. Sometimes not.

    9/11

I remember where I was when it happened. I was just waking up for another day of job hunting and got the itch to turn on the tv. I had just turned on the Today Show on NBC, when the second plane hit. From what I remember, I spent much of the day in sort of a daze; one minute, cursing the fiends who did it and the next, wondering how it could have happened. I do know that for the next several days I stayed glued to the tv for updates. :nuke: And no, I didn't stay in bed the whole time.
  21. I'm looking forward to hearing that great voice once again. :2hands:
  22. A belated happy birthday, moonwolf! :king:
