I'm actually kind of surprised at David and Barry's response to the AD's proposal. It seems that the trip to the Big Easy is a slam- dunk with a win/win for all. Plus, I understand that there are some really nice folks down there. Jus' sayin'!

What a beautiful short story. Thank you for not ending at the wedding and giving Artie a love that he wanted. On reflection, I definitely see how Tiffany was the actual catalyst of the story. If she hadn't pitched a fit over strippers, she wouldn't have gotten pregnant and John's curiosity wouldn't have awakened Artie's true nature. It's also Tiffany's ultimatum and threat at Artie that makes her behavior change in fear of losing the one man who has tolerated her as long as he has due to her wedding dance confession and an act of omission by John (yes, it's a run on sentence - deal with it!). All in all, great work, and I look forward to reading more of it. -Kevin
