Nice try. Nothing you write is dull enough to do that. I'd be up all night binge reading and you know it.

3/30/2026 Update: Well, then... so, I came across the downside of a posting schedule of "one story on Fridays or Saturdays; another story on Mondays or Tuesdays." When you miss one posting, it delays the other one by 2 days, which shifts the schedule (except Thursdays, Thursdays are Hazardous Thursdays and I'm too busy teasing engaging in the comments section of Hazardous to post anything that day). π The missed post was worth it, though, because I was at an in-person interview that I hope to the heavens I nailed (at least up until they had me fill out basically a psychological profiling survey which I hope didn't come off as "this person is too unstable and contradictory to themselves to hire"). The location of the place I interviewed at is much closer to where I am currently living, and there is opportunity for at least a little growth, and I'll take any increase in pay I can get. So, fingers crossed on that one. In other news, my family in the southeast keeps trying to lure me back for their benefit. They all have spouses and kids and ways to survive, but I am alone and might always be alone. I need to save for retirement and make plans for whenever my own faculties fail me, as I have no partner or child that can help with any of that when I near age 95. I can no longer be the selfless family member providing 100% support to everyone else while my mental and physical health (not to mention my creative soul) deteriorate anymore. I have far too many things I have already sacrificed to time. With the energy I have left, I want to be prepared before my body gives out. For example, if at all possible, I'd like the last years of my life to be where I spent the first seven years of my life... on an island with haphazard connectivity at best, subjected to both hurricanes and earthquakes, where the residents are as judgmental, mean, and nosy as they are supportive, attentive, and friendly, and with very limited and underdeveloped/outdated AF medical practices and technology.

Then I'll just throw away this list of "English words to avoid saying if I ever become isekai'd into the Hazardous universe."

Thirdly commented on Myr's blog entry in Writing World
My Switch2 screen cast a luminous glow while playing Pokopia last night when I finally realized it was 9pm, I was not really a Pokemon, and I should attempt to sleep. -
Good luck to everyone else, though!

Poetry. The one thing I can't do unless I am forced to write godawful lyrics for a story, which only happened that one time.

Girl, I don't know how I missed that comment and caught all the rest.

"Look," Malik started, trying to push himself up again. It was the wrong move. So fast that Malik was hardly able to register it, the staff was gone and the creature was on top of him, striking him across the face so hard that his vision blurred again and his ears rang. - Did he just say "yo mama's one ugly beyotch" in his language or something? π

Wait, what??? π

3/25/2026 Update: Thoughts of a stressed insomniac brain working on too many stories at once: Don't write the wrong character name. Keep the personalities consistent. For the love of all that is precious in the universe, STOP looking at other unfinished projects until these ones are done. What's that? You already did? And you managed to crank out an entire outline on a story based on an old collaboration that you've been struggling with for over a decade? ... and you still wonder why I keep you awake so late at night when you are the one chasing shiny things? If you don't allow me enough hours to recharge, it's your funeral. Literally.

Uh huh. That's the pot calling the kettle black of I ever heard it. π€£

We're going to have to agree to disagree. There is porn with style and then there is porn with corn. π

Hey! I'm the judge here, and "minimal smut is not enough," but your style of smut is π―π₯ In this case, I just admit I created a monster. Now if I can only get Bennie on board with the "minimal smut is not enough," I'll be content with my lot in life.
-
And, as I'm forever badgering everyone for smutty scenes in general...
-
Okay, my consensus after a quick overview of both: I've read spicier scenes from both of you (note: opinion, not fact, everything is subjective). HOWEVER, I am still VERY pleased with these spicy offerings. ππ

Well then, I guess it's smut reading day for ME at work today.

"Hazardous Thursdays" has just such a nice ring to it. (the things that amuse me, lmao)

Alonso is an ass. The text from Jace at two in the morning lit up my phone like a warning flare. My stomach twisted in anxiety as I read his message. I checked the time before calling, pressed his contact and waited, forcing myself to breathe slowly until his familiar, half-asleep voice answered. βWhy are you calling me at such an ungodly hour?β Jace grumbled. βItβs already eleven,β I replied, trying to keep my voice steady. βAlonso showed up?β

Every time I mess up on an interview or don't get a call back for a second/third interview, I always think "And this is why Jason is his own boss." π

3/23/2026: I'm trying not to appear too desperate as I wait for second interviews to be scheduled. So, I'll likely reach out tomorrow after 10am. I managed to sew three baby clothes over the weekend (for coworkers' children) that will likely only be worn once. But I learned a lot in the process. I still very much just want to spend hours playing Pokopia instead of doing anything productive. π

Isis (and some of the other older gods) are currently where Ra and Nut went. π Dealing with bigger and wilder issues than what's currently happening with these guys right now.

Exactly. Gotta love Jany's guts, though. π "What was that? The Gods ain't helping? Let's get 'em by the balls by enlisting one of their favorites. I'd like to see 'em try and turn down this blue eyed cherub here."
