Well, this IS 2019, so hopefully everything to do with that pesky 2017 illness stayed in days of yore ... I hope all's well with you. I confess, when I started reading this chapter I had to have a pause, bc I started feeling angsty - I could see D with his vulnerabilities, being talked down to, realizing that disgusting fat scaly turkey had been messing with some kind of poisonous herbs - manipulating him and others into giving her what she wanted: power. I just kept thinking what he was going to do, without Nöel, Landyn and everyone who had once protected him. How was he going to let them know that foul turkey wanted to reign over Earth ? I never did care much for the feathered species - unless it's in my plate, and even then, not all of them. So I was particularly relieved when Ronan took care of the plucking of the yucky creature ... ugh ! Hopefully they will reach an understanding of what was the fruit of D's manipulated mind and what was the truth. Can there be a come back for them ? Perhaps poor Kris will also end up being a victim of that egomaniac parrot ! 😡

D is totally biased against Nöell - all his bitterness, his nervous disposition, his friends leaving him ... Everything in his no longer ordered life, is Nöel's fault ! Due to the way he has been reacting to all things Nöel, I wonder if the meaningful, sensible reasons he had for leaving his mate can be supported ...

Yeah ! And what about the guy in the Prologue ? Where is he coming from and who is he ? Am I being dense or is he still a stranger to the story's plot ? 🧐

Hmmm ... paranoid much ? You know, even though I'm really angry with this challenging, finicky fuddy-duddy, I'm starting to feel a bit worried about him. So, now Nöel is capable and the origin of all evil ?! He is driving a wedge between him and his people, he is the cause of his two old friends leaving his household .. he is also dangerously powerful as a telepath working for the Council ... what else ? Will he blame him also for his not feeling at home anywhere ? His mind is waning

You nailed it ! Totally ! But I still think that douchebag D, is old enough to have known better ... Sex and physical attraction do not a relationship make. If he wanted normalcy, routine, balance and stability, he should never have picked a 17 year old to achieve it !

At this point, there is still the possibility of a come back. Why ? Bc Nöel is still hurting. It is still a "live" wound. My fear is if it all reaches the point of no return and indifference wins. Nöel's heart and soul get so broken that there is no turning back. Up to now, there are still reactions from both the douche and from Nöel. Reactions that tell us that they're not totally indifferent to each other. Of course the douchebag once dominated Nöel in bed, by saying he was in charge - he is a self-centered, self-loving narcissist. Maybe his reactions are just that - a love of his pompous ass

Why wasn't there the will to fight it ? He just gave up - and destroyed Nöel in the process. Fucktard ! PS - Btw, the guy in the Prologue ... who is he ? Is Nöel going to meet him ? This far too soon, but maybe there will be something there ... ?

Yes. I had tears in my eyes too. For Nöel and of rage ! I really hate D right now. And I hope Nöel finds someone who is absolutely spectacular, and kicks D's ass, so deep, he will be tasting leather. 😡 🤬 🤮 🖕 The one thing that crossed my mind, that could make some sense, was that maybe D was being blackmailed - he would either stop seeing Nöel, or he would be killed. But then I thought Nah ! Too cliché ... too easy.

This has gone far enough ! D needs to chill and stop the hissy fit bc no one deserves to put up with it. If there's a reason for the tantrum, for f*ck's sake say so! I don't know if Nöel shouldn't go back to the dorm room - I wonder if D would miss him at all. What the idiot cannot do is treat his mate like that and not offer any explanation. If Nöel did something wrong, just bloody well SAY SO ! Grrrrr !!!!!

Yes, D was overreacting ... but why didn't Nöel just say 'Hi' to him when he arrived ? When the green-eyed monster shows HIS fangs, you better run for your life. It turns you into something that is not pretty ! "Beware, my lord, of jealousy; it is the green-eyed monster which doth mock the meat it feeds on." I loved the chapter - and I wonder how Nöel will react ! He won't understand it and so he won't like it ! 😤

Amazeballs !! I know I'll be reading this again. It really is refreshingly new, and had me hooked from the beginning so I binge-read from the start. Of course, it helped that I read a story that was marked as "complete" - I think I'd go ballistic if I had to wait for Monday to read the next chapter. Anyway, thank you so much for this awesome story. It has the right amounts of grip, headiness, romance and mind-blowing sexiness !! You're a fantastic writer ! I absolutely LOOOVED everything about it !! Looking forward to Book 2 !

This is all so goooooood !! Of course D had to bite him - yes, it will connect them, but it will especially enable D to find him if he gets abducted (maybe ?). Maybe D was expecting they would have enough time for Nöel to bite him as well ... I'm very sorry they didn't listen to Nöel's "feeling" - the boy has precognition powers ! 😱

Yup ! Noël is being informed about the whole freaky business the homeopathic way - drop by drop ! It's frustrating ! It's a wonder he hasn't gone ape yet ! He was told he was the glue which would hold the king and his 2 (3 ?) mates together, but he's in danger of coming unglued. Their talk needs to be serious, informative and it should omit nothing. NOW !

Since Noel is new at this, shouldn't he be made aware of what is going on AND how he can fight it ? You can't protect yourself or anyone you care about, if you are not informed or even conscious of what might come at you. I'm surprised that Noel is not angrier about the whole situation. The king's enemies might use him as a pawn, so it's important for him to be prepared !! ⚔️

I'm loving the story, it's absolutely different and interesting. I was hooked from the beginning, so I've been binge-reading. But poor Noel is starting to realize that maybe he has dissociative identity disorder, which causes a "split or fragmented understanding of a person’s sense of themselves". It will be interesting to find out how he will put his own "self" forward instead of falling into a depression bc he is on a quest for his own soul ... 😵

OMG Rob, thank you soooo much !! I absolutely LOOOVED it - this story I read for the 1st time.- but I lost count to how many times I read the 1st book. Please delight your followers with Book No. 3. 🥺 I loved your description of Alpha Miller, he sounded so effing sexy. Zef is such a lovable, cute woolf. I wish he had finished his talk with Buzz. Zef doesn't have a Trey or a Jed to talk to. He must feel lonely and needs someone to talk to. Also, what's happening with Shell and Curtis - has their baby arrived yet ? Colton's awkwardness with his Dad needs closure - they need to talk and put it to rest. Also that jerk Seth and his assholish friends need to see him as he really is. If Colton's old pack still remembers how he won his fight with Seth, maybe when the present Alpha retires, they won't let Seth take his place and ask Colton instead ?? As for Derek and Shauna, I guess their fate will be 6ft under ... I can't see any other way. I do hope you write Book 3 asap ... I'm on the edge of my seat ! That's how excited I am about it !!

I confess that when I started reading this I thought I had jumped a chapter and went back and forth, till I realized it was only a dream ... and I was really relieved (bc I had the right chapter AND bc it was only a dream) ! I don't think Derek will swallow this humiliation. He is a bully and he will try to hurt Buzz and Jed - even kill them. Until someone stops him, he will never leave poor Buzz alone. Colton has a new enemy, too. Derek will do any kind of deal to screw him ! I see Shauna's future as a very bleak one, but then that's what she deserves ! This was an amazing chapter Rob, thank you !

I keep remembering battleaxe Shauna saying she'd fuck Buzz into submission with a strap-on and bite him - I do hope Jed will teach the harpy a lesson, she's revolting ! I love Jed and Buzz so much, they really are soul mates. Jed's amazing family made Buzz feel so welcome, they're fantastic. If only all families would accept their children's choices and loved them for who they really are ...
