  1. Actually, I'm a little disappointed; I was shooting for 30 nanoseconds. Great chapter, CJ. I enjoyed the story up to the nanosecond by nanosecond description in the last scene. I'm not sure if the end constitutes a cliffhanger. I suspect the cliff was obliterated. It's good to see Joe making amends and, as many readers expected, he is playing a pivotal role is resolving the mystery. Hopefully, Instinct will jump into action, avoid Mario's planned hit, and help bring down the Scar. I'm ready for Chapter 37. :nuke: :nuke:
  2. Chapter 36 of Let the Music Play, Prometheus, has been posted.
  3. Hey, Steve. Brandon is my favorite and has been from the first chapter. I think the story is about him and his good fortune, rising from impoverished and obscure circumstances. He is also the hero having rescued Instinct from the destructive behavior of its former lead singer. The Carlisle brothers are all good guys and I like them, but Brandon leads the pack. He is also in a position to be the hero again by the end of the story.
  4. It's there in chapter 35...
  5. Hmmm... An interesting idea. You think Dimitri is tired of playing second fiddle? Maybe he plans to assume Scar's role as dictator of Uruguay. Would Mario turn on Scar, too? Maybe Dimitri offered a bigger payday.
  6. Thanks Benji. I feel better. I've been with the consensus all along; I just couldn't be sure I had not missed something. I wonder who the fifth victim might be...Helen? Joe? Of course, if Mario stuffs a goose inside a jet engine, there are likely more than five victims.
  7. OK, CJ, I've missed something. I reread chapter 35, and this thread in the forum and the Who is going to have an accident? thread and I can't find anything more than speculation as to the identities of the five victims. Someone please help. No guessing please. Just the facts. Thanks.
  8. Isn't there a bomb planted at Candlestick Park in San Francisco?
  9. I think Yogi Berra was talking about California when he said, "Nobody goes there anymore; it's too crowded."
  10. Monday is the new Tuesday, five is the new four, and a goose is the weapon of choice?
  11. Another great chapter, CJ. The plot moves forward nicely. No real cliffhanger that I could find except the big one implicit in the plot itself. Chase helps us understand Eric's sexuality a bit more...
  12. Chapter 35 is here. Hurry and link up before it disappears.
  13. Today? Hooray!
  14. OK. The chapter links are back and there is no link to chapter 35.
  15. OK. The bottom of Chapter 34 also has a link for Chapter 35, but clicking it results in a "404 Not Found" error. Peculiar.
  16. Something evil has happened. Let the Music Play has disappeared. Try clicking on the link at http://cjames.gayauthors.org and see what you get. No chapters. Maybe they fell off a cliff.
  17. He has already gotten his shots in at CJ. Do you remember the name of the bagelry where Cody works?
  18. Another excellent chapter, CJ. The appearance of a character from another author's story was a neat turn. I see Jerry/Scar's scheme gradually unraveling; he keeps making small mistakes and Eric hears about it, adding new pieces to the puzzle. I think Lump will add a few pieces when he and Eric next cross paths.
  19. Hey, it's a three-way tie at this point...only 3 votes cast. I voted for The Petting Zoo. CJ's Petting Zoo was a strong second in my mind, but goats aren't the only animals that like to be petted. Another possibility is The Butting Place...where we all butt heads with one another and with the goat himself.
  20. Or, what would he do if his call went to voice mail?
