  1. Oops! How embarrassing! It seems I glanced at your member number.
  2. I think you are next to hit 6,000. Congrats!
  3. Scar gets his money for his nefarious scheme from two sources: (1) the fortune he amassed from his arms deals and (2) contributions to his "charity" including those from Instinct and their manager. I don't think we've seen any behavior on Helen's part indicating she is in cahoots with Scar.
  4. We're in agreement, I think. Anyone would rather manage The Rolling Stones than Milli Vanilli. And The Rolling Stones' manager(s) have had to put up with a lot from the band.
  5. A good manager will care quite a lot about his/her clients' financial welfare. Smart entertainers will have a professional investment manager handle their money rather than their performance manager and the manager should be totally in favor of that. It wouldn't reflect well on a manager whose clients are "established" performers (i.e. no longer very popular) and broke at age thirty.
  6. Great chapter, CJ. I particularly liked:
  7. I don't really like any of the listed synonyms. Noe of them is quite the same as "cliffhanger". If I was forced to make a choice it would be "white knuckle", as in what you get if you hang on a cliff long enough.
  8. Tigers are our friends, too!
  9. Nooooo! Be kind to frogs; frogs are our friends.
  10. Goats are sensitive. Don't believe me? How about fainting goats?
  11. Hope I don't sound insensitive, but.... suck it up, goat!
  12. Chapter 31of Let the Music Play has been posted.
  13. Here's another for the collection: .....the termination and evidence disposal in one easy step.
  14. So. Scar was cheated somehow? How sad.
  15. Dimitri's employee termination was a deliberate, planned thing. He did the deed in a secluded place where there were not likely to be any witnesses and he disposed of the body immediately. Jerry's garroting of Adam was a spur of the moment thing. While it was not planned, Jerry was prepared to act and carried a silent weapon, not just a gun. His planning came after the deed -- how to deal with the body (both immediately and long term) and what to do about any possible witnesses. I would say that the two different situations permitted more premeditation in one case but required more passionate action in the other. Is there a prize?
  16. It's working now. Thanks to whoever is responsible.
  17. It's working? I must be doing something wrong.
  18. Does the disappearance of the whole story constitute a cliffhanger?
  19. Thanks. It's not just the new chapter; all 29 earlier chapters have also disappeared.
  20. Let the Music Play has disappeared. Anyone know why?
  21. Vladimir, of course, is no hero. He is a mercenary -- the worst ever given the type weapon he is fooling with. He is greedy just like his employer.
  22. Chapter 29 is great, CJ. We learn some more of Scar's plans. Vladimir's plans seem to be less than adequate. This chapter even has an in it. Eric doesn't know when to stop.
  23. I think it more likely that most straight guys are at least a little homophobic. They are quick to judge someone as gay with only one factor to consider (such as being effeminate or not married). That's not gaydar; that's just a guess. I know several effeminate guys who are definitely straight and a lot of gays who are not effeminate.
  24. Eric's gaydar is too accurate for a straight guy. He must be bi.
