Tuesday So, the idea of coming out to my Dad has been rattling around in my brain all night. I keep going back to the feeling I have that staying in this closet, at least in most people’s cases, is something that will drive you nuts. Technically, I’m ‘not’ in the closet anymore. I’ve told Bobby, Stevie knows, and, of course, Billy knows. But, I’m not really, publicly ‘out’ out, if that makes any sense. I’m not out to my family in particular and that’s the thing that scares me most

When writing, you sometimes have to make a decision about quality over quantity. Sometimes what’s not being said can be as important as what is said. Brandon is in the dark here about a lot of things going on with Billy at this point of the story. If you go back and check on Book 3 of The Secret Life Of Billy Chase for these past few chapters (they line up exactly per my response to them) you’ll see just how ‘lost’ Brandon has become in the mess of things as far as Billy is concerned. Thursday It’s funny sometimes how Billy and me tend to be on the same wavelength at times. I’ve been thinking about how we spend so much time alone together at school and how that may look to others, especially his other friends. Particularly Sam. I’ll admit, I’m jealous of the time I get to spend with Billy. I want to be with him all the time. I’d be with him every minute of every day if I thought it were possible, but I know that it isn’t.
