MrM's Chicken Couscous Tfaya Chicken ~~~~~~~~~~ 6 Whole Chicken Legs and Thighs Salt and Pepper Butter ½ Tsp. Turmeric 1 Large Onion chopped 1 Tbsp. minced fresh ginger ½ cup of Saffron or Safflower infused hot water (put a pinch of Saffron or Safflower in the hot water and let it steep like tea) Two cups Chicken Stock + Two cups of water 1 sprig of Cilantro Chopped Carrots Honey for drizzling Couscous ~~~~~~~~~ 1 package of Near East plain Couscous Sweet and Spicy Onion Sauce ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1 Large Onion butter 2 Tsp. cinnamon ¼ cup honey ¼ cup raisins Toasted Almonds, Raisins, Dates, and Sliced Hard Boiled Eggs for Garnish and flavor 1. Wash and dry your chicken pieces. Salt and pepper them. 2. In a Dutch oven heat some butter until hot. Sprinkle in turmeric. Put in the chicken pieces and fry them on all sides until they are golden. Remove to a plate. 3. Add a little more butter. Put in onions and ginger. Fry until translucent. 4. Add Saffron Water, chicken broth and water, cilantro and carrots. 5. Add chicken pieces and simmer for about 30 minutes. 6. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Remove cooked chicken to a casserole. Cover with about ¼ cup of honey. Put in oven for about 10 minutes until chicken becomes deep golden brown and honey is bubbling hot. BE CAREFUL THAT IT DOESN’T BURN. Don’t burn yourself neither. 7. While chicken gets done, make couscous. Use box directions except substitute for water the chicken stock from the cooked chicken. 8. While couscous and chicken finishes, make the sweet and spicy onion sauce. a. In a measuring cup put the raisins. Cover with boiling water and let sit while you cook onions. b. In a sauce pan put some butter. Fry onions until caramelized (brown). c. Add honey, cinnamon, raisins and their soaking water. Bring to a boil and reduce a bit. Sauce should be liquid and sticky, but not too runny. 9. Put a pretty plate out. Mound couscous in the center of it. Make a well in the center of the couscous with a spoon. Pour a little chicken broth in it. Add some cooked carrots. On top of the carrots put the chicken. On top of the chicken put the sauce. Sprinkle on the sauce some toasted almonds. Eat with fingers.

They are still children and so they will return to acting in childish ways. It must be the parents now that are the adults here. Billy's mom and Brandon's dad. They are going to have to be the bigger people here. If not....they may lose their sons to this. I have a feeling Brandon's father may know this as he has seen his son in a very bad place before, I'm sure of it.

I was just Skyping with him. He's in good spirits. They are moving him from ER to a room now. What a relief for him and us! Progress!

Atruefan, one of our newer authors in GA, active community member, and dear friend of mine was admitted into the hospital today with stroke symptoms. Though it was found that he didn't have a stroke he did have a blood pressure crash which his doctors are investigating. He also broke his knee when he collapsed. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers as he is tended to. Thank you guys.

Valkyrie makes my Snowflake story possible. She and Atruefan, who is my main beta, help me polish and encourage me to go on. Without them I might stop writing again which I do too often. Personally I find the pressure of putting a chapter out there at least once a month an incentive to drive my writing. But my writing style is a bit odd and needs that energy. I find my stories write themselves. Its like the characters tell me what they are going to do. Yes...I am insane.

Actually, this was like Totally Me in the 80s. I mean Totally! I even had a linen blazer! Those college guys up there totally didn't Rock the look.

For a while now I have been composing a response to The Secret Life of Billy Chase. The response is Brandon's Blog, an online diary he keeps that is where he puts his thoughts, his experiences, his dreams, his poetry...and his heartaches. Brandon signed his first entry with 'Brandon...Smiling' and so this story is named. Thanks to the support of Atruefan who has been reading my response and who has given me positive feedback he was kind enough to sponsor me before Comsie The Great. His Alluring Majesty read my first chapter and gave his blessing for its release. Alas, though I wish he had the time, I don't think Comsie can always Beta Read this work though I would dearly love it if he could. I love his story so much that I want to remain faithful to it in Brandon's perspective. In that spirit I was wondering if any of you, his true fans and particularly of the Billy Chase Chronicle would like to Beta Read Brandon Smiling for me so that I stay the course. Brandon became a special character for me because the way Comsie wrote him greatly reminded me of myself at 14-15. This uncanny connection compelled me to start writing again after several years of lying fallow. This is a work from my heart and has aspects of my own experience being gay growing up. I greatly admire Comsie for his adept insight into such a character as mine as my experience was a fairly common one and one that many can connect with. This is how Comsie writes his characters. They are reflections of us and possibly as we could have been or would have meant to be. Anyway, I hope you guys might help out if you want. I would sure appreciate it. Love, MrM

Brian ~~~~~ We slept together last night. It was just sort of natural. We have fallen into one another and we have found our perfect fit, Snowflake and I. I...I really can't believe this. I never thought I'd find anyone who was, well, The One. But he and I: we breathe with the same breath, our hearts beat with the same beat, my heat and his cool comfort one another perfectly. We made love despite my knee injury in a way that was completely tantric. I have never experienced such feelings.

To go boldly where no one has gone before... Our next step Out There will be found in the CERN Large Hadron Collider or its more advanced version in New Mexico. I feel we may be close to discovering the full quantum nature of gravity. Once we have learned this we will be able to understand space-time contouring...the twists and turns in the fabric of reality! Exciting times.

Parallels. What serves one serves another equally. Ah me, this will confuse poor Brandon to no end. He knew about it, but he didn't REALLY 'know' about it. Now he knows. But he is wiser now. Wise not to react without thinking. Not like the first time. Hurt happens but you can't let it control you or you let it hurt you worse. I wonder if Brandon will be the more mature one this time. And Jimmy...I hope he survives his Depression. I hope he survives long enough to work in a ski resort when he's a little older. Good set up for the next chapter! I'm excited!!

"I love you. I love you. love you. Iove you..." over and over I said the words to the point where normally they would seem meaningless. But in Billy's warm embrace each stroke of the mantra beat a stronger thump. Thumping, I love you. Thumping, thumping, love you, LOVE you. My heart beats into my throat and pushes the words out. I can't stop. I will never stop. All the breath in the air wouldn't be enough to say enough 'I love yous' to my Billy. I am laying here literally crying as I watch him sleep. How could I have ever doubted it or him. So much time wasted...but it is more than enough now. It is everything. We are all we need. Brandon....in love.
