Light slowly crept through the feverish fog, fading in and out over a period of time that Alexandre could not distinguish. Each time he woke, the glimpse of a few faces was all that he could take in. Yes indeed! Though who's to say he hasn't? I think for Devan, there's been a slow build up to an "I just can't take it anymore" moment that happened during the last gathering of the thirteen. Alex starting a civil war was somewhat of a wake up call for Devan. I appreciate the feedback - maybe I'll go back and make an edit to make this more clear in one of the previous chapters, after I get through the rest of the story 😅 Thank you for reading and for the comment!
