Tell Rich that it's against "Man Law" to NOT know how to light the pilot on a furnace or a waterheater. Tell him there are GAY guys out there that even know how to do something as simple as that. Yeah I ruined my and my dad's holiday, but somebody got her feces coagulated out of the deal...........Priceless. Ex.

Dem, I worked for the airlines, actually two of them for 20 yrs. Priceline, orbits, and some travel agents will go out and buy blocks of airline seats on different flights. They not only get bulk discounts, they get the early booking discounts offered by the airlines. You will find in almost ALL cases that calling the airline direct will result in a much higher fare. The fares go up as the days wind down to departure time. Don't be afraid to call a travel agent either, they can give you options that you don't always get with the on-line companies, you don't have to say yes before thay show you the price. The bigger the travel agency, the more horsepower they have with the airlines, I know..... I used to not believe that they could compete with the on-line ticket companies, but sometimes they can. Any seats that they don't sell within a few days of departure are returned back to the airline, and the airline isn't going to sell that seat at that late a date at anything that resembles a discount. Even though I flew on employee passes, on several occasions I had to buy a seat in order to get home, so there are some ins and outs that I do know about. for all the stress. Ex.

Not a bad idea. Much better than North Dakota, which has a pretty low population also, but there is a good reason for it in N.D. Xiaos right, your dad is terrified, period. Nothing you can do, its not your fault, and here is a man who's #1 job is to protect his son, and he can't change a thing. Back in the mid80's when I was trying to get on with a major airline, my dad was well connected with upper management at one of the major airlines that I was applying at, he told me he had already dropped my name to them, and they said they would hand walk my application through . Well I wasn't going to have my old man get me any job, so I turned him down, kinda pissed me off that he would do that anyway. After working for another airline, I ended up at THAT airline three years later. My point is I was stupid, I should have let him pull some strings, I took a three year detour, and ended up there anyway. Him helping me get that job wasn't going to help me keep it, they would have canned me faster if I had embarassed them by not being able to do the job after they had endorsed me. I read it all. You said that you hate it when you get all caught up like this. Sounds to me like you are in touch with what you need to be happy, and that is showing someone how much you have to give them, to love and be loved is what everybody needs. I would guess that he is a nervous as you are, but his defenses are stronger when he is not face to face with you, he can't see your reaction over the phone, or on line.
