  1. And thank you for reading it and reviewing it! Jason just breathed a sigh of relief when you called him likable, by the way. He knows he's the unpopular kid here and he's glad someone finds him worth something.
  2. Not only has his time with Chris been well spent, but also his time with Gary and Luke as well. Luke has shown him that a person deserves a chance before judgment is made about one's character. Gary has shown him that not everything is nefarious, because some people are just trying to survive and do the right thing. Ironic, I think, that Chapter 10 is titled "Conversations". Thanks for the review!
  3. A threeway with Jason, the asshole, Gary, the one completely scared of doing anything, and Luke, the one without any inhibitions... Yeah, that would certainly be an interesting chapter. I think it would frighten me to write almost as much as it would to read! Thanks for the review.
  4. Well, Tim, there might have been more profanity if I had decided to give Finn MY inner voice. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
  5. I'm glad the profanity wasn't distracting, and that you liked the story. Halloween was always my favorite holiday growing up, and writing stories like this is my way of expressing that.
  6. I adored writing Jack. He's one of my favorite characters I've ever used, actually. Of course, Finn is too. I ended up using Finn and Max in Ashes of Fate Season Two because of how much fun I had with this story. Finn and Max will do many things together in the years to come, and Jack continues to watch over them. I'm considering writing another story along those lines as well. Thanks for the review, Tim.
  7. A very merry existence day to you, Rustle.
  8. Cheers erupted from the crew as the aircraft’s engines roared to life. It was the third day of being stuck in the middle of the Canadian wilderness, and they were all ready to leave. For some, the time had been well spent, but for others it had been agony. Kurt watched the others with resignation and great impatience. While he understood that it would take time for Nevala to conduct the research he had promised to do in order to find Jacob, he was having a difficult time waiting. Jacob had b
  9. I'm always in support of new stories. Welcome to the fantasy genre, my friend.
  10. Nope... I've only had one for twelve, so I definitely haven't had one for more than fifty! The person below me grew up in a rural area.
  11. I know this is morbid, but in ten years I'll likely be dead. I live a very dangerous life and take a lot of risks. If I am still around and kicking though, I see myself published, a full series under my belt and a modest following in the literary world. Same Q
  12. 15. Because I agree with Parker. Same Q
  13. Gary was beyond devastated. There were no words to describe how he felt, especially after he had been so high only seconds before. The crushing realization that Jason knew about what he and Luke had done, sent him into a spiral of doubt and anxiety. That it was entirely his own fault filled him with self-pity; if only he hadn't written that cowardly letter, all because he hadn't found the courage to talk to Luke to his face. There was going to be an awful reckoning soon, and he couldn't immediat
  14. Frustrated. Angry. Worried. Bored? Not particularly. The person below me wonders why the people they thought they could count on aren't coming through.
  15. Person I would want to meet: Ender Wiggin from Ender's Game. As brilliant as he is, i would find conversation with him scintillating. Person I wouldn't want to meet: The beast from Lord of the Flies. I mean the metaphorical beast, of course. Wouldn't want to become like the boys who lost it, after all. Same Q
  16. Nope. Listening to Japanese pop, actually. The person below me is highly caffeinated in order to stay awake and function. Unless we've already got what we came for... time to move in for the arrest!
  17. God yes... Donuts and pastries will kill any diet I ever attempt, even if they tell me gluten is killing me... The person below me is in the Interpol surveillance van with Parker and I. Gotta watch out for the Wifi Network labeled "Interpol Surveillance Van", Reader
  18. If I can use someone who might have never existed, I'd say Scheherazade from 1001 Arabian Nights. If it has to be someone real I'd say Kublai Khan. As far as rulers go, he was inclusive and ruled justly over a very powerful empire. Same Q
  19. I'm thinking of creating a contest for my loyal readership, with the prize being some sort of writing, like a personalized short story/poem... Any suggestions from anyone reading this thread for what I could offer?
  20. That's okay, Drew. Someone did give me a detailed response, which come to think of it I still haven't responded to. I'm thinking of creating a contest for my loyal readership, with the prize being some sort of writing, like a personalized short story/poem... Any suggestions from anyone reading this thread for what I could offer?
  21. Yep. Definitely. There's usually a moderate chance we'll have snow in October here in Utah. The person below me watches horror movies.
  22. Not really my type. The person below me finds Matt Bomer attractive.
