I don't think Bruce would go after a woman Mom's age. He has Tom when he gets the urge and his wife isn't up to it.

Mom's problems are many fold.. She kept AM's rape from her husband, she knows the harm of keeping it quiet has done to AM and she knows Tim is after Bruce with a vengeance. and what she said to Bruce. That is a lot of secrets to carry and have it all come out in a trial.

That is a good question. Is a doctor under questioning in a court of law obligated to answer questions involving patient confidentiality. I'll need to watch more Perry Mason episodes to see if I can answer that question.

In a large community, many cases are handles by the Assistant DA, however these cases are reviewed with the DA even if the Assistant is the one who prosecutors the case.
