I don't think there is an adult male that doesn't understand what I meant. Come to think of it there isn't a male over the age of 6 that doesn't understand today.

I knew of a custom on the wedding night the bride placed a cloth under her and when the hymen was broken, the blood was caught on the cloth which the groom hung out of the window so the village could see that she was a virgin. Some cultures have weird customs.

I'm not sure all of them applied to England certainly not the one about the queen being a virgin and tested. I think some of the kings like to dally around with the. hired help,. so to speak, so staff didn't necessarily have to be a virgin. I believed one king married a thirteen old, my guess she was a virgin and probably scared out of her wits when she spent the first night with a man.
