Thank you, Quixo. I'm glad I did too.

Thank you, Dez. I'll see you again on Mondays when the next book is finished and released.

Thank you, Gee. Actually Dorian did leave her a farewell message. He said goodbye to her in his video to the pack and his family. I'd had to think of Ethan's reaction if one of his nieces or nephews were kidnapped. Elemental on the war path. lol.

Thank you, Mike. The support you show is greatly appreciated. I've got a new book in the works. If my characters behave, it will hopefully be headed to editing in the near future.

Thank you you for always being so supportive, Chris. I know many readers were hoping Ethan would revive a dead Dorian at the funeral. I actually quite liked that idea, even though it's well beyond any gifts I've already given Ethan. For something that was an afterthought, this made for a better ending.

Thank you, Terry. Dorian left as alpha because he knew his life in that position was over. No matter how much security he'd have around him, there would always be a bullet waiting. His only way to live was to die. He loved his people and being alpha. If he'd stayed he knew he would have to give up Karissa or she'd be a target as well. So he made the only decision he could.

Thank you, Centex. I always enjoy having you here for the stories. Even though I was going to leave Dorian as dead, I'm happy I added this final chapter. Even Dorian admitted it was for the best his family doesn't know for now. We'll see what the future holds for him and his alpha.

I see the pack's blood lust has affected you as well. It's out of character for Ethan, but even he agreed to let the pack hunt that family down.

Roped you in huh. I seem to remember you sending me a message offering to help me improve Running With The Pack. I growled at you often, but listened to your explanations for why something was wrong. Learning from you was a joy. I feel truly lucky to have you as a mentor.

Thank you, crazyd. I don't give much thought to what people think about my past as a hustler. I did it and managed to survive. I've surrounded myself by people who view me by who I am now, which is all I could ask for. Sadly, I've lost contact with Chad.
-
Thank you, Nana. I'll never understand it either. I will never make an attempt to get in touch with her or the sperm donor. I attempted to contact my grandparents and it didn't go well, but made good material for one of my poems. Memories are only painful if you let them be. Mine are unpleasant, but I've stopped giving them power over me.

Marshal, Sarah, and her family accompanied Ethan, Aiden, and Karissa to the airport. The security teams for the alphas spread out as Cody checked the aircraft. Wade and Thaddeus arrived as the sweep was concluded. “We’ll be back soon to officially start our work. Alpha Stockdale and the Lycan Council have loaned us some of their people to recover the money Levi’s family stole from the pack.” Aiden extended his hand to Marshal before turning towards the two betas. “As we discussed, we’d like

I hope you do add your own stories since GA can always use more lycan/werewolf literature. I guess my lycan are more akin to an animagus. I think the differences can be found on page 394 of the text book. Although I didn't include any direct reference to the lunis variety of lycan, in my world they are the closes to a werewolf since they are compelled by the moon to shift. I thought about war and annihilation, but decided to keep it in line with how Dorian viewed things. Since petty wars were common in his youth, he never wanted to waste the lives by using those people in a frivolous act. It's why each time the pack expanded he fought alpha vs. alpha in the challenge ring. Only one will die, maybe two, but it will be an honorable fight and a good death. Unlike Dorian, Levi would have had no issue using the warriors against anyone. But as we know, he was not a good or caring leader. His family only cared about power and control. Maintaining that through assassination and manipulation.

Thank you, Smoothy. An emotional response like that is perhaps the best compliment I can receive.
-
Thank you, Centex I might have to write a short story or two about the hunt.
-
Thank you, Dez. I know it was a sad ending for Dorian's time as alpha, but his successors will do what they can to help the people. That will be Dorian's legacy to the pack. And on that note, it's going to be nice having Monday's off for a while.

Thank you, Rainbow. I'm still surprised I managed to have than many cliff hangers in a row. I've got one story in active works and one that's been sidelined for about a year. Hopefully the Running With The Pack series will have a few more entries before it's done.

Thank you, Quixo. Yeah, Levi got off easy. Still, having something ram itself through your chest is gonna hurt.
-
Thank you, Night. I truly enjoy your insight. In one draft I did have Dorian killing Levi in that final meeting, but it didn't work for me. It wasn't that he was playing the fool at the end. He knew full well what would happen to him. The immediate gratification of eliminating the person who had caused him and the pack so much pain was tempered by knowing that his death would galvanize the pack against the McKinney family. The civil war option would have cost many lives on both sides of the fight. Dorian's final act as alpha was to save the pack in the only way he knew how, by sacrificing himself.

Do I need to recruit "The Fat Lady" from the painting in Harry Potter to sing?
