I'm going to agree with you both. Michael was an actor worthy of an Oscar in how he played people. Even his own parents didn't see what he had become until it was too late.. Chris' mom did push him towards what she thought was the nice, respectful boy and she also received the benefits of being closer to the Alpha pair as a result.
-
In Michael's case, he was born that way. Thank you LadyDe. Perfect analysis of things. Years and years of conditioning
-
Of course he did. Aiden is a stud I kind of look at is as he was hoping to push Aiden to the point where he would forcefully take Michael and completely dominate him. Something that would never happen, but maybe the desire of a crazy guy. Michael is just one of those people that was wired wrong from the start. There is no reason for it, it just is, but that is a question that everyone including his parents would ask.

Journal entry 20: I started spending the night at Michael’s house when we were young pups. I think we were in first grade at the time. It was always the same even from my earliest memories of it. When his parents were around or if they checked on us, he was the model son. Always polite, respectful, and friendly. When they were out of ear shot, he turned into an ass. Whatever game we played, he always reminded me his dad was the Alpha. If it was a video game and I started winning, he

Thanks Jeffrey. LOL. Kyle was showing his concern... Or at least that's what I'm sticking with... Thanks JayT Thank you Centex Thanks Chris

Thanks Mike. Thanks Lux. Doing my final edits I decided I couldn't stand the original chapter I'd written and wrote this to replace it. Your comment shows me I made the right choice. Thank you Tazzle

Journal entry 18: With everything that’s been going on at Parker Valley, and my admission about how I was the first one Michael tied up and used, all of it’s been building up and I feel like if something doesn’t give soon I might explode. I felt some relief at first getting it out, but since then I’ve been filled with a kind of nervous energy for lack of any better description. It didn’t really help when the doctor put me on a forty-eight hour suicide watch after our last session. I

Michael's parents were loving and caring parents. Like many other monsters that have existed all over, is there really a reason for it? Violently hid it and used it as a tool of power over others. Just a thought to add to what you said, Michael was obsessed with his own power and power itself, the first one to take him in the rogue gang was the leader, a man of extreme power outside the confines of the Lycan Council. Years of conditioning by someone very adept at manipulation and yes, he was molded into a monster puppet for Michael to control. I think he does understand the role his mother played in his friendship with Michael. She didn't see what was happening and if she had, would she have done something to defend her son is the big question.

He's been hinting over several entries that there was something, his darkest demons that he was hiding from and couldn't get out. It definitely could mess with his head since its one of his biggest admissions. Yep. Very well said Thanks Mike. Is he in the closet? His attraction tends to be for women and he's acted on that many times in the past. He's had an attraction towards one of his friends, but so far everything with guys has been forced upon him by conditioning.

Thank you Jay Thanks Normischell To quote from one of Fantasyboy69's books, "stab him in the head with a silver spoon" Thank you for your continuing support, Centex I had written Michael to sort of like it and begin to submit quickly, more so than most would even though the rogues were using drugs on him. Chris seems to be in this process for the long haul.

Journal entry 17: It’s almost time for another session with Doc. I’ve given a lot of thought to things since Parker Valley was attacked. When I meet with her, I want to make sure I talk more about the bridge incident. That was my final downfall or my saving grace as I’m starting to think of it. There are also aspects of what happened that day that are indirectly tied to other things I have a hard time talking about. If I lead with the bridge, I think I can get through the rest. I’ll

All I can do is happily nod my head at all your observations Corey wants to make up for the things he did in his past and help change someone else that was a bully. He may not know just how bad Chris was in his old life, though he's determined to make a difference.

Chris is also getting to where his feelings for the people back in Parker Valley is changing from how he knew them as the hostile teen he was to the thinking of them as the person he's becoming. With how close he was to Michael, to him it is the natural conclusion to come to regarding the attack even if he has no evidence to support it. The escorts may have started this as a job that has turned more into being mentors as well as friends I like the way you put it since the person who was sentenced does not exist anymore. He finally see's what friendship really is.

I had to find a point where events could have a good cross over between the two stories. When the Parker Valley Alpha made arrangements for Chris as well as Michael to relocate, he worked out with Alpha Jennings that the hope was someplace he could start fresh, go to school and get back on the right track. I'm sure there would be some pack members not thrilled to have someone like Chris around, but I'd guess that when he arrived or even before, he informed his pack that they were taking in two troubled wolves (or one in this case). He's been on house arrest when not at school or doing community service and his escorts keep a very watchful eye on him. That would keep most from confronting him and harming the progress he makes in therapy.
-
Chris knows better than anyone what Michael is capable of. At the very least, he told his therapist about his fears and his suspicions. They could have been passed on with his permission. Welcome Back LadyDe Thank you for the compliments. I had never planned to write about Chris. I was trying to work on something with Ethan and Aiden, but they're stubbornly still enjoying their honeymoon and refusing to talk. Others that I had been trying to work on were also silent. Going to bed one night, Chris popped into my mind practically waving his arms around "Hey, write about me. I'll talk all you want," and so he got his own. This gave me a chance to better explain how things got to the point of the attack on Ethan.

As far as the tracker goes, about the most that could happen to it is damaging it causing a violation alert to be set off. The slow and painful shift is difficult for him or any other Lycan, but not inherently dangerous. Though there is always a chance of something going wrong. A little pain for a chance to run and hunt would definitely be a fair trade off.

Journal entry 13: Last night was Halloween. I got a reprieve from home confinement and was allowed to get out for the evening. Alpha Jennings invited me to the pack’s Halloween party. Being an invitation from the alpha is not something I would or could decline. He informed me with a stern look that I was at the party to work. A grin spread across his face as he added one of the work requirements was to have a good time. His Enforcer was standing beside him as we spoke. I thought Mr.

Thanks Mike Still remaining quiet on possible developments between them He needed some wolf time and earned the privilege of going on a hunt. Understanding it is part of his punishment doesn't make being restricted to a small space in his wolf any easier.
-
And the author remains unsurprisingly quiet on possibilities between Chris and Kyle

Journal entry 12: Being a Friday, when I got home I picked up what I needed and reported to the jail. It was my usual routine after returning from class since I spent weekends in lockup. I don’t mind and knew it was part of coming here. A part of me still thinks I deserve to be in jail for what I’ve done. Seriously, if all this happened strictly in the human world, with their justice system I’d be locked away for years. Maybe even life. Giving up my freedom for attempting to take a l

Chris having a chance to change is the main reason he received his exile. There would have been little hope of changing in his home surroundings, even with people that might have wanted to help. Having a fresh start someplace where people can keep an eye on him, guide him and give him the help he needs and wants was his only option. Kyle was assigned the duty of keeping an eye on Chris when he arrived, but thankfully stepped up to try and be a friend as well.
-
It was a deep hole that Chris had climbed into. Did he help Michael dig it or just follow? It could go both ways. You make a good point in asking if the attack on Ethan was a major step. For Michael, probably not... for Chris? He was willing to go along without question. He might have thought it was, but given what the two had already done, sadly not so much.

He's got his therapist to help guide him and he's also meeting people like Kyle and Aaron. I agree wholeheartedly with you JayT. Thanks Mike. The self loathing isn't something that is easy to overcome. It takes time, a lot of reinforcement by others and sometimes one stray thought or action can put you right back into it. For me it took a couple years until people that knew me realized I was hiding it from them and called me on it.
