I can understand your feelings on this. JP/Sebastian effectively going free is complicated. Was it the correct decision given all the things he has done? Maybe not, but the decision was left to Aiden and he will be watching to make sure Sebastian stays honest. If someone only has one pet peeve in the story, I'll take that as I'm doing a decent job
Thanks for this Patrick. It's always fun for me to see the reactions and views of my readers. In a human world I would agree with you wholeheartedly and I respect your views. Since this takes place in a world with Lycan and packs structured similar to a wild wolf pack, that changes things a little. Jackie acted out as a wolf more than as a mother or human. Michael was a threat to the pack and as both mother of the offender and mate to the Alpha took the action her wolf felt was required to protect the pack. The trial was just a formality since it had already been decided that John would be ending Michael's life as soon as his trial concluded. Yes, Michael was sick and like a rabid animal, they must sometimes be destroyed.
Thanks Butcher. Aiden and Ethan could definitely stand on their own as Alphas due to how powerful they are, but for all that power they also have the compassion to go with it. They are willing to listen to anyone. They enjoyed meeting their new friends and are wanting to get to know them better. It gives them some insight into being Alphas when the time comes.
I agree with you that it is a false statement. Unfortunately, there is usually little that can be done legally when someone does something like that against a minor that's hustling; especially one that is homeless. At one point or another, it's a hazard of the business. I know they would like to know who it was. At this point it won't change anything that happened. That night, Dan and Andrew had introduced me to their friends as, "Hopefully our future son."
While you wait on me to work on another book in the Running with the Pack series, you might want to check out TJ by @JayT It may not be a Lycan story, but it's damn good.
This may have been a shorter chapter, but still a great one. Whatever length you make it is perfect since it gives us another chapter to read of this great story. It's sad to see Kevin loosing his home, but at least he is surrounded by friends to help him; I wish I'd been that lucky. It was cute with TJ saying he was afraid Kevin would break Josh as well as the chihuahua and rottweiler comment As someone that's short, tall muscular guys can be really hot I can't wait for the next edition.
For someone that was a pimp and drug dealer he was friendly towards me. I wouldn't call him a guardian angle since if he had the chance I would have been working for him and paying him for the chance to whore for him. I offered him something I couldn't really afford to part with and he offered me a sort of protection as long as I didn't work in his territory.
They almost got through to me
Thanks Brian. I'm glad that you didn't throw your laptop. I never did tell them who did it and I doubt I ever will. Running into tricks is a hazard of the job and it sucks, especially when they think you're someplace to work. The one things that's stuck in my mind about that incident since I originally wrote this is when I heard someone I was friendly with had said, "you can't rape a whore." Made me think that was probably the mindset of Dan and Andrews friend.
I wouldn't trust anyone. I won't say I hated everyone, but definitely wouldn't trust and kept people at a distance.
Somehow I never got arrested for hustling. I was questioned a few times though.
Thanks JP. I'm still not entirely sure how I survived, especially with how many times I tried to end things. Drawing and writing something about what I'd sketched let me enter my own world for a while.
Thank you Jeff.
