I suspect that this is the same thing that Boone and Coy felt when they first saw the land they eventually bought in your own story. And then, the spot they built their house on that property. Humans have had the feeling that, 'this is the place!', forever.
Sometimes, it's a place they want to stay and live, and other times it's a place that just seems very special to visit and appreciate. But that it's a special place of some kind seems clear!
The elves just look like unusually cute teenaged humans. They've always been like that, even Max, who is on the up side of 600 years old. Dressed in normal clothing, they could be the kids next door. Nothing for Ms. Dancy to notice as unusual!
Hmm. Moneypenny, huh? I like it!
I love those old houses. They knew how to design a home back then! The boxes that came after were disgraceful. You can still get a craftsman-style home by paying through the nose for it...or finding one of these great old houses that has been lovingly maintained.
They took Charlie's 4Runner, just because it was roomier and more comfortable than Horace's woodie. Not to mention having a far better heater. The day was nippy, and the sun had disappeared behind some passing clouds.
They loaded Horace's bags into the back of the vehicle next to their own things, and then stood a moment as they tried to sense the location of the phantom.
"I still feel it," Kippy decided. "But it's not trying to come closer now."
Horace grunted. "We have moved ou
Amy will be along soon.
TPI has no stated mission as yet. But I do see the guys eventually finding to their surprise that they have a real business on their hands.
I've found some wonderful spots in the forest surrounding my home. But, yes, I have run into places that felt kind of creepy, too. Amazing, that perfectly natural places can inspire feelings in us that run from one end of the spectrum to the other.
Momma Nature seems to have quite a sense of humor!
Money laundering sounds so tacky and criminal. But I guess it is sort of what is happening, though the money in question comes from perfectly legal endeavors.
But...imagine that! Santa helping to launder money!
Well, the parents got the basic idea of what the guys are doing - investigating uses for science and technology. So it's not like they're completely in the dark. They just don't know that the science and technology involves elves and aliens!
Maybe the devil isn't the obvious one?
Unfortunately, all the people that Charlie and Kip know cannot be in every adventure. I'd never get the story finished!
But now, the Christmas story, well, we'll be catching up with a few people then!
Who said the police were incompetent? We just didn't hear the whole story!
And the cars were parked at Horace's house AND the houses of his neighbors to either side.
Hmm. I guess that makes him the middleman!
I have often encountered such places in the forest. The ideas of such spirits go way back in human lore. I don;t know if I would say I'm a believer, but something makes those special places special.
