Thanks! The Halloween stories are always a little extra fun for me. There's very little you cannot do in the name of ghoulish delight!

It takes a wonderful imagination and a great way with words to create something like these haiku verses; but all would be for naught it you were not also someone deeply in touch with nature. I love that you love the forests, and the grasslands, and the sparkling waterways, and the things that live in those places. Observation and appreciation, wonder, and a fondness for the natural world are evident in every single word.

Very emotional story, very well-done. It brought to mind friends now gone, and made me aware again of the importance of friends still around. Never take for granted that they will be with you forever. And thanks for the reminder.

Acceptance - the acceptance that you have to make and live with the tough decisions - is part of maturity, I would agree. It's built into all humans to worry to some degree about their self-image. We too often tend to place a lot of power with others, in what they might think of us, or how they might react to us. Even complete strangers, who come and go regularly, and have no real impact on our lives. Trying to live up to a self-image too sharply drawn can be a nightmare of an existence. Nothing hurts quite like feeling we are not good enough to fill our own shoes! Maturity definitely brings with it a mellowing of standards. That has to come with the realization that we are who we are no matter what others may think - or what we may think ourselves, sometimes. In the end, we have to be able to live peaceably with ourselves, before we can ever live well with others.

I've always looked askance at the term 'mature'. It's just experience, and time, and requires some ability to consider the total all of everything in your life, and decide on the necessities and discards, and what is important, and what is not. Some people never get it, and others get it very quickly. But for most of the human race, it comes later than earlier. But life is a heck of a lot easier once you've made peace with your 'maturity'! As have Mitch and Will, quite obviously!

Been a few glitches around here of late. After the recent update to categories and sub categories, 11 of my stories vanished from my author page. They've returned now. But it makes me wonder if those 11 were somehow hard to categorize?

Cliffhanger, huh? Doesn't look good for the next chapter. I can imagine a lot, but I think I'm willing to wait on your imagination, since it is your story! And a good one! 🙂

Figures Jordan would get screwed for doing the right thing. Political assholes who take advantage of situations always irk me. Alistar can burn next time! But, I'm sure Jordan will fins some reassurance form the ones that love him, He always does!

Well, another wonderful chapter. Time doesn't just heal wounds, it matures us, makes us braver, and more able to face the realities of the day. The feelings between Mitch and Will have taken a long time to be spoken of properly. Now they're eager, and willing. I think you're right that it wasn't their time until now. But they certainly do seem to be making up for lost time! Can't wait to see the reaction by Boone and Coy!

A lot going on in this chapter. Good to see Felicity taking the risk of finding a new friend, and that it's Emily, who seems like she'd be a very good one. Felicity's husband needs his manners corrected! Eric is also likely to be positively affected by Emily. And, by extension, Andy and Adam, too. In fact, this assemblage of people look like they have the ability to enrich each other in multiple ways. Change is always good, when it's for the better. Good story. I'm behind, but it's just a time thing, not any disinterest. Friday is one of my day's off, and I use it to play catch up! 🙂

Hmm. Interesting twist! We suddenly have a whodunnit at hand! The roots of this new action go back a ways in the story. Might have to return and look again, just to see if my suspicions... Good chapter!

Yep. I was thinking about that after I wrote it, that maybe Greedigut was not so out of line after all! For that matter, a few others of those names might suit some cats, too!

Well worth the wait! I have to say I am not really surprised we have arrived at this point. I only had a little worry that we wouldn't; still that worry was enough to keep me guessing. I could see in my mind Mitch and Will, there on Mitch's land, a place he has already come to love, back with the man he has always loved. It doesn't get much sweeter than that! Now to build a few things: a house, a barn...a life, together. Can't wait to see what the next chapters bring! 😍

Hmm. Not surprised that George feared he was treading in dangerous territory. But the guys are determined to meet him, and so we'll see what happens next. I can understand they want to meet their favorite author, but they are operating rather dangerously, too. Can't wait to see how you work this out! 🙂

Thanks, Gary! Pyewacket has been a cat familiar more than once in literature, I believe. It's always the name among those on that list of familiars that I liked best. It FITS the personality of a mischievous cat. Much more than Grizzel Greedigut! Who would call their cat that? Well, unless he deserved it!

Hi, buddy! Always happy to have you along on a trip with the guys! Yeah, Thanksgiving is just too close to both Halloween and Christmas. I could probably manage something, but it would he <gasp!> SHORT! But Christmas will see Charlie and the gang back for another romp. Hope to see you again then!

Hmm. Haha. I guess Pacha HAS learned to read the elf location guide! Max would normally need to have worked with Keerby in order to be able to get to the alternate reality. But since he went there with Nicholaas, he now knows the way. And, while Max doesn't have his own hernacki yet, he can still construct his own chrono-cores (even if he is not sure HOW they are put together) and go to the alternate universe on his own. I suspect Keerby will assist Max in finding his own hernacki, however! On using shields to hide from other power users...that seems a difficult task. The very act of creating a shield would be like turning on a spotlight to another power user able to detect skwish. There would need to be some way to make the shield look like something else...but the power needed to do that would still be evident to any searcher... Um...I have a headache. 🤪

I like old cars, too, which is why I bring them along n some of my stories! And, you nailed it! I WAS thinking Airstream when I concocted Professor Dithering's motor home.
