  1. Geron Kees

    Chapter 8

There is always a light somewhere ahead, if you just make yourself look for it. Yes. The plot was actually very simple. The mystery element was a byproduct of David simply not knowing the truth. Yet!

    Chapter 8

You watch too much cable. Or write too many B-movie scripts!
  3. Geron Kees

    Chapter 8

Oh, shut up. Just because you were right all along is no reason to be throwing big, pink letters at me!
  4. Geron Kees

    Chapter 8

Yep. But a light would be announcing one's presence, and David doesn't want to do that just yet.

    Chapter 8

Glad none of us are, or we'd all be at home watching Greatest Moments of the NFL on cable.

    Chapter 5

Well, working from home has its perks. I was supposed to be working when I was writing the last part of this story, too!
  7. "Hi." "Hi. How was work tonight?" "Oh, not bad. I'm tired, but that's the usual." I bunched the pillow more under my head so it would hold the phone to my ear. "I wish I'd brought my headset with me. I just didn't think I'd be on the phone much while I was here." "Lucky you, huh?" There was something sad in that reply. Something that bothered me. It sounded like Mark's mood had darkened, rather than improved. "Yeah, lucky me." I hoped I sounded as positive as I was feelin

Ooh. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge is just what is called for! 😇

    Chapter 7

Shhh! Are you always yelling 'Tire!' in a crowded garage?

    Chapter 7

I think I agree with that. Maybe.

    Chapter 7

I am not into torture, alas. But I'm willing to learn!

    Chapter 7

Thanks for the good cheer, Gary. Bet you're a lot of fun to watch a movie with!

    Thanks. Hopefully soon!

Which Mark are we talking about here?

    Chapter 7

You've been patient this far. Patience is rewarded, right?

    Chapter 6

Aw, come on! Do I ever let romance fade away in my stories!?

    Chapter 6

    Methinks you will find out!

    Chapter 5

Pizza is like any food that comes in many variations. That's why it's such a good feel-good food: you can have it to your own liking. I am not a fan of pineapple, either. I like both pepperoni and sausage, but whoever thought putting anchovies on a pizza was a good idea must have been drinking heavily or was a severe seafood junkie. Extra cheese is okay, as long as it's a second cheese. Onions are good, and I've had veggie pizzas that had stuff on them I couldn't even name. Not bad, but not my usual preference. The recipe in the story is a real one we've used here. Homemade pizza is much better than the frozen variety, but even those can be passable nowadays. If you're hungry enough!

    Chapter 4

    Okay. I'll accept defeat gracefully!

    Chapter 3

I'll have to look in on that story at come point! I did not mean to make light of a genuine medical condition. I just didn't know. I was referring to the good cheer and positive energy with which you seem to address the world. In that respect, you appear to be doing very well.
  23. Wow. Great chapter. Loved the moment when Jordan realized that Dylan's eyes had opened. And the back and forth on Damian being turned shows that everyone is considering the deeper aspects of such a move. I can understand why Jordan is against it, and why Damian feels it's important for him to assume a certain place in the triad. That decision seems to have been made now...but the moon is still high! Enjoying this tale very much! 🙂
  24. "Hi." We met at the front doors of The Boltfort. I stepped out into the morning light, and blinked before settling my sunglasses into place. "Hi." Mark's face was all a single smile, his pleasure at seeing me obvious. "Right on time. I've only been here a couple of minutes." "I left as soon as you called." I grinned. "I was ready and waiting." He glanced at his watch. "The museum will be open by the time we get here. Ready to go?" "Yep." He reached out and took my hand, g

    Chapter 6

Haha. I will never again write a story that looks like a mystery, but isn't!
