I have to admit to not knowing that CJ lived so close to the park. Makes me wonder if he's one of the joggers that granddad has smiled at!? I've always been fascinated by The Dakota and other buildings of its ilk in the city. I actually lived not too far from that area myself when I worked in the city in the late eighties and early nineties. We could see the Statue of Liberty from our apartment. Central Park is indeed a fascinating place. I was always annoyed that it was portrayed as a crime-infested hole by so many books and movies. It's no worse than any other place in a large city. CP has a lot to offer, and is a great place to spend the days and evenings in the summer. Especially with friends! Thanks for brightening my evening.

Mark arrived promptly at one on Thursday, and I let him in and brought him up to the condo. He oohed over the elevator, and sighed happily as I led him down the still glamorous hallway to where my granddad lived. His eyes missed nothing, and I could tell by the look on his face that he was enchanted. "I love this place already!" That made me happy, that here was another thing we shared. You do very well, as an observer. I'm not really trying to fool anybody here. This is actually a story about a not-too-unbelieveable set of circumstances masquerading as a mystery. Or...maybe it IS a real mystery! Mwah hah hah haaaaa... Yeah, you look good in those ears. Keep 'em.

I was never one to waste time as a teen. if I felt I liked someone, I let them know, and if I got the same feeling in return... I had a friend who was straight, and who always seemed to be connecting with nice girls, but he always doubted his senses about it, and was hesitant to act. I used to tell him flat out, "She likes you. Go for it." But he was just never certain, and the doubt killed it every time. Teen girls are not known for their patience. He did finally marry at 34, and is pretty happy today, so maybe it was meant to be that way for him. But I am happy, too, and I didn't wait!
