Chapter 10 Good Ol' Dad
Geron Kees commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 10 Good Ol' Dad
Oh...apparently the only way to be the first to comment on one of your tales is to do the Black Friday thing and set up a cot outside the front door of this place at 3:00 AM! -
Chapter 10 Good Ol' Dad
Geron Kees commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 10 Good Ol' Dad
Another fine chapter. You do likable people very well! Chase has turned out to be the good guy to Hank's bad. Maybe. Hank comes across as an ass, but he's miserable, and it's just too damn easy to be an ass when you're miserable. I still don't think he and Chase are done yet. Dawson seems like a sweet guy, and Chase really shouldn't feel badly about his ambivalent feelings concerning his friend maybe dating again. He's shown us he cares about Dawson's happiness, and so far he is acting the part of a good friend. There is maybe a little feeling there of being left alone if both Hank and Dawson have new relationships, maybe. Not an unnatural place to be in in his situation. Glad to see dad back, and seeming whole again. He's doing the concerned father (with a great sense of humor) part very well! -
I've never met a black cat I didn't like, or an orange one. Refusing to adopt any cat based on its color seems odd to me. A cat is a cat. Personalities are individual, and not based on fur color. Dogs are the same. We've had both as pets, and have always been attracted to personality. Color never mattered at all.
-
Nope. Thank you. Here's your 20%!
-
Well, that's the way we have always done it. Twenty percent for excellent service, ten percent for lackluster or even indifferent service, and five percent for guy-dressed-in-a-gorilla-suit service. I do think it's better to say a little and convey a lot in these instances, than to say nothing at all.
-
That's what I heard! I looked this up, and it seems that the mutant gene that gives a cat calico colors appears only on the X, or female chromosome. So when we think of the world in which this story takes place as alternate, that really is the right word!
-
I've never worked in any position that depended on tips, so can only guess at how important they are as income, as well as a respectful nod for service well rendered. But...not leaving a tip may be ignorant if the service warranted it, but it is not a reason to cross the line into ignorance yourself. I like the piece, and do feel that justice prevailed in the end!
-
So would a male dressed in calico colors be suggesting to the world he was gay?
-
I won't argue bird genders with you, my good man!
-
I would have been surprised if it was any other way!
-
I've written a few words myself, so know what you mean. So I'll let you off the hook and not press the point!

I don't agree with Sarah's decision...but it was her decision. I have to view this as a different culture, with different ideas and different rights. And, anyway, it's done. Sad chapter. Sad event.
-
Ah, okay. The baby is a HE. I agree with what was said by others about wolf grief: why end your life if you can have more than one mate? I'm sorry for Sara's loss, but exiting the world herself is not the answer. Jacob would not want that. The thing with Halor has grown hair. I'd forgotten about the traces the magic user left when sealing the door at the fire. Halor did not strike me as the mastermind sort. He certainly didn't go out like one. So we have someone lurking in the dark as yet, apparently. I guess it's just a wait-and-see thing, huh? Just have to be patient with the author, and hope he leads us to the answers. That would be you!
-
Man, you pitch a wild game, son! That was a heck of a curve ball you just tossed at us! What the heck is so damning about Damian's markings?? Well...no matter. One thing I can say for this baby, he/she won't be short on parents!
-
Not surprised that Halor met a bad ending. He was evidently a little more criminally inclined than I thought earlier (he just came across as a jerk). Nice to see that there are so many people working together here. I'm a firm believer in numbers. Having a lot of friends is the way to go!
-
Ah. I think these guys are sorting things out. Jordan needs to make peace with himself, and has taken a step towards that end. Damian also needs some help in the area of self-acceptance. What we don't know about his past needs to be revealed. Lysander seems to know what he wants, but will he get it? So...uh...I guess I'll go read some more and find out!
-
Uh...touching anyone inappropriately is not welcome. Hope Jake enjoys the jail cell. He's likely to get goosed there, himself.

Chapter 4: Growing Strong
Geron Kees commented on Ivor Slipper's story chapter in Chapter 4: Growing Strong
Very sweet chapter. Nothing like a budding romance to put a smile on one's face! -
Very eloquent statement on turning the corner and forgiving. I do hope more people read it, and consider the message you're offering.
-
Have to agree with everyone's assessment here: Jordan has nothing to be ashamed about. He is what he is, and should be proud of it. I do have a feeling that Damian and Lysander will work to teach him a few things about that, though. And, that being with the two of them will allow him to teach himself. Back for more a.s.a.p.!
-
Great chapter. Blanche is a gem! Arisa, too! But I've already learned that when nice things happen to these guys, it would pay them to keep a wary eye over their shoulders. Just my wolf sense showing!

Chapter 16 The Morning After
Geron Kees commented on Yeoldebard's story chapter in Chapter 16 The Morning After
Nice group of people forming here. i care about them, which means you're doing a great job of presenting them. And they care about each other, too, which is just wonderful. And -- Ahem. I never thought I'd find wolf-cat sex appealing, either! -
Wow. Smoke and flames already! Being a wolf must have some powerful love mojo with it. Great chapter. I can't wait to see where this goes! But...not tonight. Bed. Sigh. Only one chapter? I'll come earlier tomorrow!
-
Ah. That was worth staying up for. I like Sander already. Whether or not he will be good for Jordan and Damian remains to be seen. But...safety in numbers, and all that. I have a feeling that the three of them being together is going to be pivotal at some point. I also feel like that they're going to be friends. That's how the best relationships start, right?
-
Wow. I do not want to see Damian edged out here. I'm reminded of the old saying, "Three's a crowd...unless we're having an orgy!" Still, I have enough faith in Jordan now to know he will not let Damian go easily. So, I guess I just have to read at least one more chapter tonight before bed. Hell, I can always take a nap at my desk tomorrow!
